Programme Assistant (Prosperity Fund) - Grade LE3

The British Embassy in Jakarta is part of a world-wide network of 230 Diplomatic Posts, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. Indonesia and the United Kingdom have a strong relationship, and we work closely together to promote economic prosperity and international security. In order to strengthen our engagement in Indonesia, we are looking to recruit a Programme Assistant to support the operational management of our Prosperity Fund.

Main Duties:
* Provide inputs to the design and development of new programme and projects, ensuring that these are aligned to the Country Business Plan.
* Ensure that the implementation of Prosperity Fund projects is timely and meets the quarterly and annual reporting time cycles.
* Ensure that partners deliver project progress and budget reports on time and that project expenditure is within budget.
* Ensure that relevant project information is available publicly.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in project management
* Preferably Associate degree (D3) in secretarial, administration, or business
* Preferably have experienced a similar role in another Embassy, NGO or international organisation
* Strong written and oral communications skills and fluent in English
* An understanding of international relations and familiarity with the UK would be an advantage
* Highly flexible, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Resilient under pressure and decisive with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard
* Able to work with people from diverse backgrounds
* Proficient in MS Office
* Willing to start the employment immediately with a fixed term three-month contract, with a possible extension of one year

The British Embassy offers a competitive remuneration package, inclusive of salary, benefits and training opportunities. Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. In relation to this, the successful candidate will need to arrange his/her own Police Certificate. You must also have the permit to work in Indonesia in order to apply.
