ACF : Vacancy Hygiene Promotion Team Leader and Water Technician

1) HYGIENE PROMOTION TEAM LEADER (2 positions)
Location : Kupang and TTS
Start date : a.s.a.p
Duration of contract : 7 months

Objective 1 : Develop strategies to promote hygiene :
-Organize home visits and visits in the communities (schools, hospitals, etc.) to identify the deficiencies in terms of hygiene and the use of water
-Participate in the elaboration of courses adapted to the promotion of hygiene with the Head of Project ;
-Elaborate teaching tools adapted to various levels of the population: songs, role games, meetings, training, etc.

Objective 2 : Represent the organization with the partners :
-Present the project to the various local partners ;
-Train and supervise the local partner in implementation of program
-Support local partner in any technical needs
-Liaise with the authorities, committees and other beneficiaries ;

Objective 3 : Train and mobilize the members of beneficiary communities :
-Identify the privileged partners within the communities : schools, hospitals, clinics, etc
-Provide training sessions to community agents and/or to targeted populations ;
-Participate in evaluation missions and in the distribution of hygiene kits
-Check the advancement of activities and the impact of the sensitizing sessions ;
-Write a synthesis of the activity reports ;
-Propose possible improvements

Educational / Professional Background : Environmental expert or practician, Sanitarian, Teacher, instructor or professional experience in the field

2) WATER TECHNICIAN (1 position)

Location : Kupang and TTS
Start date : a.s.a.p
Duration of contract : 7 months

Objective 1 : Capacity building
-Prepare technical training regarding construction and implementation of WASH project for local NGO and related stakeholders

Objective 2 : Technical supervision
-Participate with WASH DPM to the technical assessment, final choice of the target communities, preparation and design of the water supply infrastructures
-Validate design and material prediction of any construction made by local NGO
-In the villages under his/her responsibility, supervise the implementation by the local NGO of the various activities in the field: well and spring rehabilitations, new hand dug well digging and construction and more focused on the Gravity Fed System and ensure the quality of the project under AcF standard
-To provide all necessary training/explanation/advice to local NGO/contractors workers and communities labors about AcF designs before starting implementation of any technical work
-To monitor all the working sites on a weekly basis and report all achievements/difficulties/needs
-Provide all necessary technical and physical support to the local NGO/contractors or the community during all the construction activities
-Ensure that all security requirements are fulfilled on site : use of helmet, glove, boots, good quality rope, harness, plastic strip or temporarily fence to delimit the construction site and prevent children to fall down or to be injured, etc
-Do the last check with WASH DPM/Program Manager to confirm the completion of the implementation as per AcF standard
-Responsible for any tools utilized to monitor project progress achievement

Objective 3 : Coordinate and representative
-Attend internal & external coordination meeting as required
-To work in close coordination with local NGO and contractor to provide technical support (design, budget, estimate, construction, etc) for specific task as GFS and ensure the result of the project related with AcF standard
-Created coordination meeting between local partners and communities if AcF face any problem during project implementation
-Assist WASH DPM to develop and support UPS and KPS in activities such as drafting term of reference, conducting training, meeting and evaluation to ensure properly before enhance of a project

Objective 4 : Report
-Write down on a notebook any problem that occurred on site during the week, and use this to make a weekly report and a monthly report (oral and written, according to the possibilities) to WASH DPM -Prepare assessment report and written and oral report to WASH DPM Fill any necessary forms (material delivery forms, local NGO/contractors monitoring form, tools & equipment monitoring form, etc)

Educational / Professional Background : Civil, mechanical, environmental engineering, and professional experience in building
Required Competence & Skills : Competence in building sanitary & hydraulic infrastructures - Team management and activity planning - Good organizational ability - Good knowledge of the intervention area - Dynamism - Flexibility - Knowledge of English - Knowledge in community approach and development - training skill
