Job Title : Nutrition Coordinator
Base      : Kupang/NTT
Starting date : ASAP
Initial contract : 6 months

Founded in 1979, ACF International (Action Against
Hunger) is an international humanitarian organization that delivers programmes
in over 40 countries. Recognized worldwide as a leader in the fight against
hunger, our mission is to save lives through the prevention, detection, and
treatment of malnutrition, especially during and after emergency situations and
conflicts.

ACF Indonesia Mission is now starting an 18 months Nutrition Program and this project aims to tackle the underlying causes of child malnutrition through
strengthening of health services, the promoting appropriate child feeding and
care practices, as well as food security activities. Moreover, this project intends to improve the capacity of local governments and
local communities in order raise their ability to sustainably address problems
related to under nutrition  in NTT
province through a holistically integrated approach.

Therefore, ACF Indonesia is now seeking qualified candidate to fill the Nutrition Coordiantor position as outlined below :

NUTRITION COORDINATOR (Code : 04NUT-CO/VIII/KU2012)

Diploma/ Level of studies: Bachelor/Master in health sciences with minimum 5 years experiences in NGOs/humanitarian organization


Required skills:
•          Extensive experience in managing nutrition/health program in humanitarian context
•          Good reporting and proposal writing skills
•          Technical expertise on Nut/CP (severe acute malnutrition treatment, breastfeeding counseling, mother support groups, IYCF, Positive Deviance, etc.)
•          Fluent English

Objective 1:
Design, develop and evaluate actions in the field of nutrition and health
-             collection
and quality control of monitoring, follow up and evaluation data
-             development
of an ACF nutrition and health strategy specific to the mission

Objective
2: Monitor and coordinate programmes in the fields of nutrition and health
-       development of
integrated (inter-disciplinary) approach programmes
-       Monitoring all the
consolidated programme budgets relating to nutrition and health allocated to
the country

Objective 3:
Manage the Nutrition and Health team in capital if any and be the
Technical/Support Manager of the Nutrition and Care Practices Program Managers
-       Evaluation of the technical
performance and skills of Programme Managers
-       Developing the technical skills of
Nutrition and Care Practices teams

Objective 4:
Develop and launch programmes in collaboration with governmental and local
agencies
-             Dissemination of the ACF nutrition
and health strategy at country level to partners and funding bodies
-             Developing and maintaining a network
with national representatives and programme partners (funding bodies, other
NGOs, etc)
-             Establishing MoU to define the terms
of various partnership

Objective 5:
Represent Action Contre la Faim and its positioning in the field of nutrition
and health sector and forums


General Requirements :

Experience in humanitarian
work indispensable – Experience in management and strong leadership skills, in following through a
programme, in evaluating security – Good organizer – Rigour – Good analytical
capacity – Team spirit – Good communication and relations with people.
