*Call for partner organizations for higher education leadership and
management training provision:*
Chemonics is an international development company partnering with local and
institutional organizations to promote social and economic change around
the world. In Indonesia Chemonics is the implementer of the USAID 5-year
Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) program.
For the HELM program, Chemonics is seeking institutions for cooperation in
providing training and technical assistance to 25 partner higher education
institutions (HEIs) in Indonesia. The training will address four core
management areas:
1. Leadership and General Administration
2. Financial Management
3. Quality Assurance
4. Collaboration with External Stakeholders
Topics requested will include such areas as: Effective Communication;
Change Management; Financial Management for non-Financial Managers;
Procurement of Goods and Services; Quality Management System; Quality
Assurance Data Integration; Assessing local private sector potential;
Competitive research grants.
The cooperating institutions will provide facilitators and technical
assistance for workshops and follow-on applications, meetings and
reports. Facilitators
will work together with HELM specialist staff to design and deliver the
training to two regional clusters of HEIs.
Please provide an expression of interest including a capability statement
to supply the required training in partnership with HELM. HELM will
consider partnerships to provide all or some of the training requested.
*Background: *The HELM project will foster effective institutional
management and leadership in the higher education sector in Indonesia. In
coordination with the Ministry of Education and Culture and their
Directorate General for Higher Education (DIKTI), the HELM project will
design and implement training and technical assistance for a limited but
strategically chosen set of HEIs in order to strengthen the institutional
level capacity to perform more effectively in key management functions.
*Qualifications:*
· Higher Education Institutions, NGOs, or consultancy firms, based
in Indonesia
· Demonstrated experience in training provision for higher
education management
· Experience in working with international agencies
· Providing facilitators with relevant experience and academic
qualifications, able to work together with HELM to design and deliver
workshops and follow-on, and facilitate workshops and follow on meetings in
the Indonesian language at selected locations in Indonesia for brief
periods of time.
