Job Vacancy EDITOR (CONSULTANT) Kinerja USAID - JAKARTA

KINERJA Project, a local governance program funded by USAID focusing on
providing service delivery in the areas education, health and economic
services is currently looking for Editor as consultant according to the
scope of work below.

Duration of Assignment : October 2012 - October 2013
Position : Consultant - Editor
Duty Station : Jakarta

General Description of Position

Under the supervision and direction of Kinerja Senior Program and
Knowledge Management Specialist, the Editor will be responsible of the
editing works required for relevant Kinerja documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Write articles on project updates from field, for highlights
and newsletters, to be printed and uploaded in Kinerja Website
(www.kinerja.or.id <http://www.kinerja.or.id> )

· Proofreading and editing of technical publication before
going to layout.

· Write success stories of the project for reporting to USAID
and the contractor.

· Coordinate layout and printing process with external
vendors, as required.

· Bahasa Indonesia and English editing of quarterly reports,
annual reports and workplans.

· Compile and write monthly media summaries from local
newspaper, to be distributed and uploaded in website.

· Outreach to projects in field, communicate to stakeholders
to gather details for writing up stories and updates.

· Coordinate with external service providers (photographers or
graphic designers) on special projects as required.

· Take photographs of projects when needed.

Qualifications required

· Bachelors degree plus 10 years relevant experience.

· Indonesian and English fluency required.

· Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to
communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

· Strong planning, organization and problem solving skills.

· Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

· Ability to build effective relationships with all clients,
peers, and stakeholders.

· Ability to work hands-on, independently, and within team in
difficult work environment.

Terms and Duration of Assignment

The consultant will be employed from October 2012 to October 2013.
Payment will be done based on the number of actual days worked. The
contract includes project related travel in Indonesia.
