Build Change - Assistant Project Manager

Build Change is a dynamic international non-profit social enterprise
thatdesigns earthquake-resistant houses in developing countries and
trains builders, homeowners, government officials, teachers and students how to
build them. Build Change operates in Indonesia, China and Haiti and has
enabled over 80,000 people to construct safer homes. Working in
collaboration with public and private partners, build change aims to create
lasting change in construction practices and to minimise the risk of
disaster.

Build Change Indonesia is expanding their operations in West Java and
is seeking
to recruit an ambitious and talented personal assistant to the Project
Manager in the Bandung Office.

The ideal candidate will be a driven and dedicated self-starter, with great
communication, multi-tasking and organisation skills. Advanced skills in MS
Office are essential for this role as is the ability to multi-task. You
will also be a proactive team player.

Based in Bandung, this entry level position offers a fantastic opportunity
for the right person to support and promote the vital work we do in
Disaster Risk Reduction while developing and upscaling their skills and
experience within an exciting and creative organisation.





 *Duties and Responsibilities*

·         Provide a timely and accurate administrative support service to
the manager and team, ensuring efficient systems are in place to maximise
the effective use of manager’s / team’s time;

 ·         Support the collection and compilation of  information /
briefing material to enable the manager to provide effective, clear and
concise presentations / reports that enable understanding and action;

 ·         Chase and track information and undertake routine data analysis
and reporting, to assist others in making decisions;

 ·         Represent Build Change at meetings and events in Schools,
Universities, Corporations and Government Departments

 ·         Interpret and implement routine technical procedures to inform
and support teams in the delivery of technical / operational work;

 ·         Participate in the development of teamwork plans and deliver any
agreed actions effectively, to contribute to business planning and delivery;

*Qualifications and Experience*

* *

·         Demonstrable skills in administration, report writing, filing,
translation, proof reading

·         Naturally gifted communicator who enjoys establishing
relationships with people at all levels, combined with the passion to be a
great ambassador for the organisation

·         Open and personable team player who is equally capable of acting
on their own initiative

·         Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic person able to remain calm
and effective under pressure

·         Strong interest in humanitarian principles and development ethics

·         Written and spoken English

·         Excellent abilities in MS Office, photo editing, internet
research
