USAID IUWASH Job Vacancy : Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

 The Indonesia Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) project is a
sixty-month program (2011 – 2016) funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) and implemented under the leadership of
DAI. IUWASH works with government, the private sector, NGOs, community
groups and other stakeholders to improve access to safe water supply and
sanitation in Indonesia’s urban areas. The overall goal of IUWASH is to
assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in making significant progress in
achieving its safe water and sanitation Millennium Development Goal (MDG)
targets by expanding access to these services.



To achieve the above, assistance provided by the project is divided under
three main technical components, including:

   1. Mobilizing demand for WatSan service delivery;
   2. Improving and expanding capacity for WatSan service delivery; and
   3. Strengthening policy and the financial enabling environment for
   improved water supply and sanitation service delivery.



IUWASH will apply different approaches and interventions with its local
partners, such as local Water utilities, local and national government
institutions, NGOs and communities to address water, sanitation and
hygiene. To achieve these objectives IUWASH need high caliber incumbent to
fill the positions of Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant for National Team based
in Jakarta (ME_A)



*OBJECTIVE*

The primary objective of this position is to support the IUWASH Monitoring
and Evaluation (M&E) work especially in managing database of the IUWASH
achievements in order to have adequate and proper data tracking and
reporting in the TAMIS system, including for Grant Program. Additionally,
the position will also provide training for IUWASH staff on working with
TAMIS especially for the M&E section and also support on trouble shooter of
M&E data in the TAMIS system.

*REPORTING*

The M&E Assistant will be based in the USAID IUWASH National office in
Jakarta, with necessary visits to all USAID IUWASH working locations to
support the Regional Team on working with TAMIS, providing capacity
building on M&E related activities and other purpose based on the specific
needs. The M&E Assistant will report directly to the M&E Advisor/Regional
Program Coordinator.





*QUALIFICATION** *

   - Bachelor degree with minimum 4 years of experience in relevant
   position preferably assisting in monitoring and evaluation specialist of
   donor-funded.
   - Experience developing or applying indicators of complex political,
   economic, and/or social change
   - Basic knowledge of financial literacy andsimilar programmatic
   approaches and Experience in data collection
   - Strong team working and client relationship skills
   - Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise short story
   - At least having ability to effectively use MS Excel. Having ability on
   SPSS and other statistical analysis packages/software (SPSS or
similar)is an advantage
   - Demonstrated familiarity with research/quantitative methods,
   statistics, and statistical software
   - Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian highly desirable
