Islamic Relief worldwide ia an international Non-Govermental Organization
(NGO) estabilished in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a
consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council
of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NOGS fo Development
(NOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red
Corss and Red Croscent Movement and NOGs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to
promote sustainable econim and social development by working with local
communities through relief and development programmes. Islamic Relief
Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in
Indonesia since 2003. Islamic relief provides service and support ot the
communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home
Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development
program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation. Health and Nutrition,
livelihood, Orphans, Education, Marines Fisheries, and Disaster Preparedness
and Response. Throughout these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays
sigifican role in alleviating the suffering and proverty of the suffering
and poverty of the poorest people.


One of Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) currently completed program with the
World Bank, PMU and KPDT is the EDFF program implemented in Aceh to help
improve the lives of fishermen communities in Simeulu and Singkil. Through
an integrated program-management of marine fisheries with better market
access, Islamic Relief is committed to fund this program and other programs
in some areas in the province of Aceh.

For that purpose, Islamic Relief Indonesia provides opportunities to those
having the expertise and dedication in supporting the program on the
following positions:

1. Oceanic Business and Cooperative Consultant (1 Position)

Salary: 6-7 million Rupiah for 10 days of work per month.

Qualifications: minimum of 10 years experience as a consultant and business
cooperatives and qualified marine community organizing, market analysis and
understanding of the local culture and customs, especially Singkil and
Simeulue Districts. Having a network of cooperative businesses at local and
national level.

Education: Bachelor Degree

2. Aquaculture Consultant (1 position)

Salary: 6-7 million Rupiah for 10 days work per month.

Qualifications: minimum of 5-7 years experience in fisheries with strong
analytical skills and experiences working in NGO or Private sector.

Education: Bachelor Degree in Fishery

3. Livelihood Coordinator (1 position)

Salary: 8-9 million Rupiah per month.

Qualifications: minimum of 7-8 years experience in International NGO in the
fields of Livelihood, Food Security and Business Development. Ability to
speak and write in English language.

Education: Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Fisheries or related subject.
