The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan,
nongovernmental organization that responds to the worldwide quest for
popular civic participation, open and competitive political systems, and
representative and accountable government.
We are now seeking highly competent, active and experienced professionals
to join NDI Jakarta office. Ideal candidates should be Indonesian who are
strong professionals with excellent leadership, managerial and
interpersonal skills. Fluency in English both verbal and written is also
an important prerequisite.
*PROVINCIAL COORDINATOR for Central Java*
to work in our Indonesian program, based in Jakarta but required to travel
to Central Java periodically.
This position is available for the term of the grant or approximately less
than 2 years.
The successful applicant should possess the following skills and experience:
• A degree in political science or international relations or a similar
discipline.
• Practical knowledge of the Indonesian political environment.
• Initiative and sound judgment
• Good negotiation skills
• Ability to work under difficult conditions
• Commitment to work and willingness to work additional hours when
necessary
• Ability to work with people from different backgrounds & professions
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Fluency in both spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Skilled in Microsoft office programs, word processing, spreadsheets and
Power Point presentations.
*PROVINCIAL COORDINATOR for Maluku*
to work in our Indonesian program, based in Jakarta but required to travel
to Papua periodically.
This position is available for the term of the grant or approximately less
than 2 years.
