World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible
candidates for the following position:

Position : Programme Assistant (Climate Change)
Contract Type : Service Contract
Duty Station : Mataram, NTB

Accountabilities: Under the direct supervision of head of Sub Office and
or Senior Programme Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for the
following duties:

Provide technical support and guidance on climate change
adaptation and mitigation efforts, especially under Food for Asset
programme.
Provide information and lesson learned of ongoing WFP climate
change adaptation and mitigation initiative.
Develop and monitor PES (payment for environment / ecosystem
services) closely as an effort to ensure sustainability of the programme.
Coordinate closely with relevant counterparts for climate change
issue.
Monitor and supervise climate change adaptation and mitigation
projects.
Assess, verify and evaluate WFP programme related to climate
change adaptation and mitigation.
Conduct various surveys (baseline and follow up) on WFP climate
change projects jointly with other unit.
Provide related climate change trainings for WFP staff and or
cooperating partners.
Ensure related climate change adaptation and mitigation projects
are well documented, including success story compilations.
Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications and Experiences:
Education: University degree and/or equivalent experience with emphasis in
one or more of the following disciplines: agriculture, forestry,
development studies or a field relevant to climate change issues
Experience: At least two years of job related experience in climate change
issues.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia
