AIPEG: Short Term Adviser Opportunity - Climate Change Legal and Regulatory Database Developer

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) is an
AusAID-funded project assisting Indonesia to undertake economic and
financial policy reforms. Norton Rose Australia, the Managing Contractor,
seeks individual applications for a short-term position as Database
Developer for a Ministry of Finance, Climate Change Legal and Regulatory
Database.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following
qualifications, skills, attributes and personal qualities:

·         A minimum of five years of working experience as an IT programmer
with a good understanding of IT systems. A demonstrated understanding of GOI
corporate IT systems is desirable , including knowledge of the Linux OS and
the use of open source software such as PHP and MySQL.

·         Proven experience in database design and development.

·         Sufficient understanding of GOI climate change legal, regulatory
and institutional frameworks to work with CCCFMP climate change technical
experts.

·         Proven experience in training staff in the use of database
management software applications.

·         Experience in writing and maintaining database design
documentation and operating manuals.

·         Experience working with senior officials and technical staff
at government
agencies and/or international agencies.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills in English and
Bahasa Indonesia.

·         An ability to work independently or as part of a team.

3.       Please describe your understanding of the climate change legal and
regulatory framework in Indonesia.
