IT Officer Support

A.         Duties and Responsibilities
Tasks
The purpose of this staffship is to provide a suitably qualified student with the opportunity to work with GIZ PAKLIM Indonesia, specifically ICT unit. The staff will provide assistance on GIZ PAKLIM website development, ICT helpdesk support, network/system Security.
The staff will work under the overall guidance and supervision of the head of ICT unit, responsible for following areas:

•    ICT Network and Helpdesk support.
•    Provide support to users on ICT related daily problem and network/system problem solving.

Staff’s tasks on ICT network and helpdesk:
•    Support ICT specialist on computer daily problem such as MS-Office, MS-Windows and Network connectivity;
•    Support on the establishment/enhancement of wireless connectivity;
•    Support a development of Network Documentation.

The main output based on above assignment will be:
•    Day-to-day ICT and Network problem are taken care;
•    Good wireless connectivity;
•    Network documentation.

•    Ability to provide basic IT support services
•    Good knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate ICT security
•    Ability to perform a variety of standard specialized and non-specialized tasks and work processes that are fully documented, researched, recorded and reported
•    Ability to review a variety of data, identify and adjust discrepancies, identify and resolve operational problems
•    Ability to perform work of confidential nature and handle a large volume of work
•    Some experience in client support, such as, a Help Desk or User Support Unit,
Leadership and Self-Management
•    Focuses on result for the client and responds positively to feedback
•    Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
•    Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexity

C.         Required Skills and Experience
Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required:
•    Fresh graduate welcome;
•    We encourage women to apply;
•    Demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views;
•    Should have sufficient skills on Networking system and computer problem solving;
•    Proficiency in English and  fluency in German is an asset;
