RTI is seeking for  Software Application Developer for our EMAS Project.

General
Job Description:

Research Triangle Institute
(RTI) International is seeking applicants for a Software Application Developer for
the USAID funded “Expanding Maternal and Neonatal Survival” (EMAS) project in
Indonesia.  This five year project is
improving public and private sector hospital quality of care for maternal and
neonatal health service delivery and increasing the efficiency and
effectiveness of the referral systems at community health centers.  The software application developer will support the development of mobile
information and communication technology applications. The successful candidate
will work as part of a technical team and will design, develop, test, and
deploy moderate to complex solutions designed to improve maternal and neonatal.
This development may involve the use of commercial software, open source software and
RTI-developed software tools. This
position requires the ability to work well in a team environment and excellent
writing and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:



·
Design , develop and deploy web
applications using popular free and open source content management and web
application systems, including Drupal,
Joomla, CakePHP, Code Ignitor
under the guidance from ICT advisor

·
Design, develop and deploy mobile
applications using popular framework for Android, IOS, BB including
Coconut framework under the guidance from ICT advisor.

·
Create write documentation for the
functionality of software application.

·
Design and maintain database
including writing database queries and stored procedures, optimize, backup and restore.

·
Design
and develop custom software applications and integrate third party applications
from specifications

·
Monitor and maintain web
application server at national level to ensure that the server including the
applications running properly.

·
Travel
to Provinces, Districts as needed for project assignments

·
Report to ICT advisor



Required Qualifications:



·
B.S.
or Master in Information Technology or other technical discipline and 6 year
working in an Software Development Environment

·
Strong
knowledge and skills in software design and development, including testing, and
test-driven development

·
Experience
in applying and developing Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) technologies

·
Knowledge
and skills in Effective Experience framework, applied understanding of the
object relational model, SQL, and database design

·
Experience with the following:

o
HTML5,
CSS, XML, JSP, JavaScript

o
developing
websites using open source content management systems, including Drupal and Joomla

o
Developing database
applications using  MySQL

o
PHP
and PHP frameworks, such as Code Ignator





 Preferred:

·
Strong
sense of esthetics and good graphic design skills for software and web
interfaces

·
Experience
with the following:

o
JQuery,
JQuery Mobile, CouchDB or other browser application development technologies

o
Native Android
application development

o
Java
development

o
MVC
implementations

o
Windows Server and Linux server
administration

o
Geographical Information
System using FOSS
