Vacancies with SurfAid International

SurfAid
International is a nonprofit organization working for healthy and resilient
communities in remote areas connected to us through surfing. With the head
office in Medan, the community programs are mainly run in Mentawai island Nias.
SurfAid works closely with the communities and government to improve
communities' capacity on emergency preparedness and their ability to respond to
health issues, including water and sanitation.
Currently we are looking for dynamic team
players to join us.

1.    DEPUTY COUNTRY DIRECTOR-SYSTEMbased inMedan,North
Sumtera(Non local, Accompanied locations).

The main responsibility is the
management of the Finance, Logistics and Human Resources Departments, to ensure
support systems meet the demands of the programs and contractual obligations.
Significant focus will lie on developing the capacity and systems of the above
mentioned departments, with a particular emphasis on finance, as well as
auditing.

Minimum requirements:
-       5 - 10 years senior management
experience (managing HR, Logistics and Finance functions, donor reporting and liaison), with experience
in performing audit workis prefered,
-          Preferably has Accounting
Certification,
-          Flexible to work in
dynamic environments with various culturesand background.

2. SOCIAL MARKETING OFFICER based
in Nias, North Sumatra(Non Local, Non
Accompanied Location). Responsible for designing and developing
social marketing materials and tools. The position is also responsible to
provide training for peers, communities and government staff.
Minimum requirements:
-          Bachelor degree in Public Health,  Communication,  Psychology or Social Science
-          Minimum 3 years experience working in
community building program on positive behavior change
-          Advanced skills to design and produce
communication and social marketing tools (desktop publishing, photography,
video, etc)
-          Demonstrated good English and Bahasa
Indonesia, both written and oral
-          Good communication and project
management skills

3.MONITORING &
EVALUATION OFFICERbased in NiasNorth Sumatra(Non Local, Non
Accompanied Location).Collaborate
with Program Managerand
EHOWU team to manage qualitative and quantitative data/information and other
program inputs, analyze the impact and shareaccordingly to EHOWU contract
and delivery target
Minimumrequirements:
-  3 years
working-experience in Monitoring & Evaluation area, preferably in NGOworking with
health or behavior change issues 
-          Relevantbackground in
Public Health, Psychology, Statistics,  etc,
-          Good analytical skills
-          Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia andEnglish,
spoken and written
-          Computerskills in
database, and other relevant software office applications will be anadvantage.

4. AGRICULTURE SPECIALIST based in Mentawai, West Sumatra(Non Local, Non
Accompanied Locations). The main responsibilities providing technical agriculture support to the Long
term tsunami recovery programme through Agriculture Department field staff
(PPL) and community groups.
Minimum requirements:
-          Bachelor Degree in Agriculture,
preferably with over 2 years experience in agriculture projects working with
communities
-          Technical
experience in setting up organic vegetable gardens and seed nurseries
-          Basic computer
skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet)
-          Strong
Communication skillsand team work
