Human Resources Assistant Manager at Harapan Rainforest

Aconsortium of Burung Indonesia, The Royal Society for the Protection of
Birdsand Birdlife International has established Harapan Rainforest to
protect andrestore 100.000ha of dryland lowland forest and its
ecosystems in South Sumatraand Jambi provinces, Sumatera, under the
first ever ecosystem restorasi licenseissued by the Indonesia
government. With support from several donors, includingthe governments
of Germany and Denmark, Hutan Harapan will make a
significantcontribution to the global debate on ecosystem restoration,
biodiversityconservation, combating deforestation and tackling climate
change.


HarapanRainforest is located approximately 3 hours drive from Jambi
city. In turn,Jambi can be reached by one hour flight from Jakarta, of
which there are 5-10 perday. Accommodation on site is simple but

Human Resources Assistant Manager

BriefDescription

Theposition of Human Resources Assistant Manager consist of planning,
directing,and coordinating human resources management activities of
organization tomaximize the strategic use of Human Resources and
maintain function such asemployee compensation, recruitment, personnel
policies and regulatorycompliance

Task

* Administercompensation, benefits and performance management
systems,
* Advisemanagers on organizational policy matters such as equal
employment opportunityand recommend needed changes
* Analyzeand modify compensation and benefit policies to establish
competitive programsand ensure compliance with legal requirements
* Identifystaff vacancies and recruit, interview and select
applicants
* Performdifficult staffing duties, including dealing with
understaffing, refereeingdisputes, firing employees, and administering
disciplinary procedures
* Planand conduct new employee orientation to foster positive
attitude towardorganizational objectives
* Plan,direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of
subordinates and staffrelating to employment, compensation, labor
relations activities of anorganization
* Representthe organization at personnel-related hearings and
investigations
* Serveas link between management and employees by handling
questions, interpreting,and administering contracts and helping resolve
work-related problems

Qualificationsand requirements

* Bachelor'sdegree in related field
* Minimumtwo years' experience in same level
* Abilityto give full attention to what other people are saying, to
motivate, develop,and direct people as they work, and identify the best
people for the job
* Abilityto be aware of others' reactions and understanding why
they react as they do,to use logic and reason to identify the strengths
and weaknesses of alternativesolutions, and to bring others together and
trying to reconcile differences
