The Jhpiego Indonesia programs are aimed to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in Indonesia. We are currently implementing EMAS ( Expanding Maternal & Newborn Survival ) program in Indonesia funded by USAID.

Knowledge Management & Communication Coordinator
Overview:
The Knowledge Management & Communications Coordinator will provide communications support to the Communication Manager and the Senior Operations and Communication Advisor. The KM & Communications Coordinator will help develop and maintain various web outlets including the EMAS public facing website and the internal SharePoint site. The Officer will also be responsible for expanding and maintaining EMAS’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) and assisting with the development of communications products, as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
EMAS Website
Working closely with the EMAS Communications team, implement plans to expand and improve the EMAS website. Work with Communications staff to implement changes to the site infrastructure, content and design.
Draft content for the website in Bahasa and English and ensure site is regularly updated.
Participate in the development and implementation of plans to increase awareness of and drive traffic to the site, including promoting the site through a newsletter, linking with partner websites, and building a strong social media presence.
SharePoint Site Development
Working closely with the Communications Team and other relevant staff, participate in the development of a plan for increasing use of the EMAS SharePoint site. Build site components (eg. libraries), design pages, and ensure site infrastructure is streamlined and easy to maintain.
Lead the migration of content to the SharePoint site from various locations, including shared drives, Dropbox, personal hard drives, etc. With the support of communications staff, lead the process of tagging and organizing content on the site.
Work closely with Jhpiego IT staff to ensure user credentialing system is easy to maintain and users have access to relevant areas of the site. Provide assistance as needed to ensure site users are able to log in to the site.
Serve as the point person for answering questions about the site, providing training to staff as needed.
Social Media Development
Implement a strategy to expand EMAS’s social media presence.
Regularly develop content to maintain and update social media outlets, monitor external sources for relevant content, maintain linkages with partners as needed.
Promote social media outlets to staff and encourage participation.
Support to general communications activities
Link with Jhpiego and EMAS partners to ensure communications content is shared and cross-posted
Provide support to developing success stories, publications and documenting programmatic achievements. Assist in keeping key publications, presentations, and other materials up to date.
Provide support to communications and private sector teams for organizing program events and other activities.
Qualifications/Knowledge, skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English/Journalism or a related media communication field.
1 – 3 years related experience. Experience with web platforms and social media required.
Excellent written and verbal communication ability in English and Bahasa.
Excellent organizational skills and ability.
Understanding of maternal and newborn health or other development issues in Indonesia preferred.
Candidates with and eye for graphic design and photography skills a plus.
Excellent computer skill, especially MS Excel and knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs.
Diligent, honest and mature worker, willing to work under pressure.
Able to work independently and under minimum supervision, but with a spirit of teamwork.
