Media and Communication Officer in Prakarsa

Perkumpulan Prakarsa is a research and capacity building institution that
aims to nurture and enhance welfare ideas and initiatives through
independent research and knowledge building. We combine research with
policy analysis, engagement and communication with stakeholders to turn
knowledge and ideas into actions in order to create social justice and
prosperous society.


We are currently looking for a Media and Communication Officer to work with
us. Her/his tasks and responsibilities are the following:

1.       To support communication objectives and communication plans of the
organization

2.       To create and publish a range of organization’s communications
outputs.

3.       To plan and manage organization’s media related work (i.e.
research and advocacy)

4.       To provide advice on media handling and support on communication
matters to managers and staff

5.       To act as a web editor to ensure that organization’s online
content is updated, engaging and relevant.

6.       To maintain and update the organization's social media.

7.       Willing to expand her/his social network among academia and
research institutes inside and outside Indonesia, policy makers,
international and national NGOs



*Qualifications** :*

1.       A minimum of undergraduate degree in Media and Communication
Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, English Literature or other relevant
disciplines.

2.       A minimum of 2 years work experience in the areas of media and
communication or journalism

3.       Have a highly developed oral and writing skills, particularly have
proven professional writing skills

4.       Preferably has website maintenance experience

5.       Have excellent interpersonal skills

6.       Have the ability to work as a team player

7.       Have experience working in other Civil Society Organization(s) is
an advantage
