Vacancy at Mercy Corps - COFRA Program (Jakarta Based)

Program Summary COFRA
Mercy
Corps has been awarded funds by ­­­­­a private foundation for a twenty-four
month period to improve the disaster resilience of populations vulnerable to
hazards, who are living in Greater Jakarta Area and West Java Province. The overall objective of the
project is to improve the resilience of urban and peri-urban populations
vulnerable to hazards through strengthening the capacity of local communities,
local government, and private sector actors to reduce risks.

1. Program
Coordinator – COFRA

The
Project Coordinator will have primary responsibility to lead the piloting
projects of DRR at target communities through development of LRAP (Local
Resilience Action Plan). Work closely and coordinating the tasks of a team
consists of Project Officers, M&E Officer, DRR Specialist, and
Administrative Assistant to ensure the effective implementation of projects. In
addition, the Project Coordinator is accountable to integrate and utilize the
collected data to enable the team in implementing and monitoring the projects.

Qualifications:
·        Possess a
relevant university degree or college diploma and relevant 4+ years work
experience;
·        Experience
working with communities, private sector actors, disaster risk reduction
initiatives and development projects;
·         Fluency in
English, both written and spoken, highly desired;
·        Experience in project management and facilitation
skills including priority setting, community engagement, and monitoring and
evaluation.


2. Program Officer - COFRA

The Program Officer is responsible for day-to-day
implementation of community-based disaster risk reduction project activities
with partners and communities in Greater Jakarta Area or/and West Java Province. Project Officer is accountable
to ensure important and required data is effectively collected, processed and
presented in a manner that will enable the team to develop a thorough analysis
for project implementation and reporting.

Qualifications:
* Possess a relevant bachelor degree or college diploma and relevant 3+ years work experience.
* Experience working with communities, private sector actors, disaster risk reduction initiatives and development projects.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is desirable.

 3. Monitoring & Evaluation Officer - COFRA

The
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for overseeing the monitoring
and evaluation of the program, including development of M&E tools and
plans, baseline and end-line survey, beneficiary and indicator tracking, data
compilation and participatory analysis, contribution to reports and preparation
of communication materials.  The successful candidate will have a
well-developed ability to conceptualize, plan and implement program activities
creatively, as well as the ability to analyze data and utilize lessons learned
for the continuous improvement of program implementation and promote a culture
of learning.

Qualifications:
* Possess a relevant university degree or college diploma and relevant 3+ years work experience;
* Experience with M&E in development settings required and in emergency settings preferred;
* Experience working with communities;
* Computer and data analysis skills;
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken, highly desired.
