Revenue Watch is headquartered in New York, with regional teams in Africa,
Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa and
the UK. RWI seeks a Senior Associate for its Asia Pacific office, based in
Jakarta. The Senior Associate will work in close collaboration with the
Asia Pacific team, which includes a Regional Associate, Project Manager,
Project Assistant and Finance Assistant.

*Description*
The Senior Associate will support the Asia Pacific team, including
assisting with strategic planning, project management, capacity building,
technical assistance, grants management and administration, budget
monitoring and reporting, research and analysis, representation and
communication with partners and RWI staff. Revenue Watch’s countries of
engagement in the region include primarily: Indonesia, Cambodia, the
Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Timor Leste, and Australia.

*Responsibilities*
* *
- *Support to Strategy Development:*
- In collaboration with the Asia Pacific team, help identify regional
priorities and strategies, including monitoring and analyze policy
developments relevant to transparent and accountable extractive revenue
management in RWI countries of concern;
- Further develop and maintain strategic relationships with
policy-makers, private sector actors, financial institutions, donors and
civil society in RWI countries of concern;
- *Policy Analysis and Technical Assistance:*
- Formulate and express RWI policy recommendations on extractive
sector governance and management issues;
- Provide technical assistance and policy advice to partners and
policy-makers as appropriate;
- *Capacity Development:*
- Provide leadership across the Asia Pacific team on capacity
development, with a particular focus on establishing an Asia Pacific
Extractive Industries Training Hub;
- Present at and provide training at workshops, conferences or site
visits in the region as appropriate;
- *Advocacy:*
- Support regional and national advocacy efforts with regard to the
Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, ASEAN and other topics as
appropriate;**
- Provide support and training to partners on advocacy strategy
development; **
- *Project Management:*
- Support the management of USAID funded regional partnership,
including organizing regional training events, monitor partner grants and
activities, and budget monitoring;
- Meet with civil society, media and other actors, attend meetings
and provide feedback to RWI staff on related developments and activities.

*Requirements *
* *
- Degree in a related field and at least 7-9 years of relevant
professional experience;
- Proven knowledge and expertise in regional issues and familiarity with
the extractive industries, good governance, transparency and
accountability;
- Field experience working in relevant countries in Asia Pacific;
- Experience working with key stakeholders in the region, including
civil society, companies, private sector, or government;
- Policy analysis skills, particularly with a legal or economic emphasis
preferred;
- Ability to provide relevant assistance for partners including proposal
development, strategic planning and advocacy capacity building;
- Strong experience in delivering training, knowledge of adult education
and training methods and experience developing modules;
- Excellent writing, analytical, and quantitative skills;
- Ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects in a fast-paced
environment;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
- Integrity and professional discretion;
- Superior interpersonal, writing, communication and organizational
skills;
- Extensive computer and organizational skills, including close
attention to detail;
- Willingness to travel;
- Fluency in English and Bahasa.
