Save the Children International VACANCY : New Program, SPONSORSHIP - 2 position, based in Sumba

Save the Children will implement a comprehensive education program in Sumba island, NTT over the next several years. Now we are looking for several position of:

1. Program Coordinator – Sponsorship (code: PC-Sponsorship), 1 position - based in Sumba

Program Coordinator Sponsorship will be responsible for overall management and implementation of all programmatic activities in selected sponsorship target schools. S/he will be responsible for programmatic implementation and monitoring of all project activities ensuring that all activities are synchronized with sponsorship core program guideline.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  1.  Provide effective management and supervision of project officer
  2.  Develop and implement strategies to ensure clear guidance and standards for programm staff and its compliance with Save the Children vision and mission.
  3.  Contribute to maintain effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems (including documentation of activities), to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation
  4.  Develop and support the team’s capacity to meet their responsibilities
  5.  Develop, maintain and improve mutual and beneficial relationships with local International organization,  Government officials, local partners and other actors to ensure effective program implementation.
  6.  Provide direct line management support and supervision to team to ensure effective program implementation and its compliance with program objectives.
  7.  Plan and organize the day-to-day implementation of the child protection activities with the project team (will include preparing of workshops/meetings/events and monitoring of team work plans) to ensure the effectiveness and good quality of project interventions
  8.  Monitor and evaluate day-to-day implementation of all education activities to ensure that program activities are delivered in line with the allocated budget and resources

9.    Develop timely progress reports in order to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information

QUALIFICATION

Education and experience
·      Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
·      At least 5 years work experience with non-government organizations in the areas of education or related field
·      At least 5 years experience in managing programs with international NGOs

Skills and Knowledge
·         Understanding of education and child protection
·         Proven skills in staff management
·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
·         Excellent project/program management skills
·         Proven skills in project/program development and report writing
·         Good analytical and conceptual thinking
·         Proven skills in capacity building of teams
·         Proven advocacy skills
Behavioural Competencies
·         Good team facilitator and member
·         Willingness to stay in remote location and travel at times in difficult conditions

2. Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Sponsorship (code: M&E Off-Sponsorship), 1 position - based in Sumba

M&E Officer for Sponsorship will be in charge of design and implementation of monitoring system including dissemination result to stakeholder. This post holder also ensures that M&E system developed and implemented is still in line with SCI standard.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
1.         Develop design, methodology, procedures and tools of M&E Sponsorship Project under the lead of Sponsorship Program Coordinator.
2.         Plan, manage and report of all activities on monitoring and evaluation based on day-by-day operational activities.
3.         Document all relevant data and information both quantitative and qualitative regarding the project activities.
4.         Support and work with project staff and possible partners in the implementation of M&E plan and process of data collection.
5.         Update periodically data of the process and result of the projects including that achieved by partners.
6.         Conduct analysis data and information as well as formulate conclusion of project under consultation with Sponsorship Coordinator and M&E Specialist.
7.         Provide all project staff with data and information they request.
8.         Support Sponsorship Coordinator and M&E Specialist for dissemination M&E results to donor and stakeholders.
9.         Contribute in Country Annual Plan and Country Annual Report processes.

QUALIFICATION

Education and experience
•      Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
•      At least 3 years work experience with non-government organizations in education program or related field
•      At least 3 years experience in similar with international NGOs

Skills and Knowledge
•         Proven experience in research and monitoring and evaluation.
•         Excellent in social and in interpersonal skills.
•         Strong communication skills.
•         Proven ability to work effectively within set time frames and with demonstrated impact.
•         Proven and demonstrated writing and presentation skills in Bahasa Indonesia and good skills in English.
•         Proven experience of working closely within team.
Behavioural Competencies
•         Good team facilitator and member.
•         Willingness to stay in remote location and travel at times in difficult conditions.
•         A commitment to high quality of work and efficiency.
•         Low resistance to change.
•         Concern for detail.
