Vacancy for Assistant to the Regional Coordinator

Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) is currently
inviting *women from Asia Pacific countries* with a commitment to feminist
movement building and outstanding organizational skills to apply for the
position of Assistant to the Regional Coordinator.


APWLD is a regional network of women’s organisations and activists in Asia
Pacific, committed to building feminist movements and fostering structural
changes to advance women’s rights. APWLD’s members are drawn from 25
countries and the secretariat is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The Assistant to the Regional Coordinator will be responsible for providing
administrative and organizational support to the Regional Coordinator and
the governance committees of APWLD. She will provide communications
support and may also provide programme support to programme officers.

*Selection Criteria*

*Essential*

1. Demonstrated commitment to the promotion of women’s human rights in
Asia Pacific ;
2. A degree in social sciences; law, human rights or women’s studies;
3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Ability to handle multi-tasking, problem solving and planning skills.
5. Excellent command of English language, both oral and written; and
demonstrated ability to write minutes, reports ;
6. Good interpersonal skills, with ability to network and liaise in a
multi-cultural environment;
7. Proficient computer skills;
8. Ability to maintain well organized and documented files.
9. Be able to travel overseas as required.

*Desirable:* Experience working in a development, human rights, feminist or
member organisation.

*Remuneration*

Salary range commences at THB 27,600 per month. Other benefits include
contributions to employment pension fund; housing allowance and relocation
allowances for staff residing outside of Thailand.

*The contract is for one year, with a probationary period of four months.*
