IT Officer - RTI Indonesia -KINERJA

RTI International is

and training, surveys and statistics, advanced technology, international

laboratory testing and chemical analysis. RTI International as the managing
contractor for the KINERJA  is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill
the based in Jakarta‘s position : IT OFFICER


The IT Officer is responsible for the oversight of the IT needs of all
offices under the specific contract, including system installations,
maintenance, support and technical consultations to end-users. She/he is
responsible for ensuring that standards set by the RTI IT Home Office are
followed and that the most efficient and effective IT solutions are
applied.  Responsibilities of the IT
Officer also include maintaining the LANs (Local Area Network) and WANs (Wide
Area Network) at National Office as well as the provincial offices. She/he must
also ensure that proper backup, antivirus and disaster recovery procedure are
implemented and that end-users have access to shared files, wireless access,
printers and emails.

The IT Officer will
coordinate and report to the Finance and Operations Manager for daily
operations as well as to RTI ITS Asia Pacific Regional Manager for compliance
to RTI IT guidelines, regulations and technical matters



KINERJA
Program Background

The USAID Kinerja project’s
ultimate objective is to improve services delivered by local governments in
Indonesia. This innovative program, which began in September 2010 and concludes
in February 2015, is a key program in the USAID/Indonesia Democratic Governance
portfolio. To reach its objectives, Kinerja supports activities that contribute
to three intermediate results:  Incentive Systems for Improved Local
Government Service Delivery Strengthened; More Innovative Service Delivery
Approaches Adopted; and Replication of Improved Practices Reaches Larger Scale.
The service delivery areas targeted in this program are health, education and
the local enabling environment for business. Kinerja assists both government
and non-governmental actors to help them play a more effective role in
improving local government services. Impact evaluation that reflects the latest
social-scientific standards for attributing outcomes to USAID activities is
being used as part of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation strategy.



ESSENTIAL
Duties and Responsibilities



1.
To
maintain network infrastructure and voice communications including servers, router,
wireless access point, Ethernet switches/hubs, printers, faxes, PABX systems
etc in accordance with RTI IT standards and regulations.

2.
To
maintain Wide Area Network connectivity (internet connection and services,
device configuration and maintenance) in all locations

3.
To
perform IT Support

a.
To
ensure Windows and other software is maintained and that patches are promptly
applied

b.
To
ensure McAfee anti-virus software is installed and both the engine and
signature files are kept current

c.
To
ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with RTI policies
and procedures

d.
To
ensure that only licensed software is installed on each of end-user’s computer

e.
To
provide user support on hardware, networking and software related issues.

f.
To
configure and troubleshoot laptops/desktops/printers/other shared devices
problems

4.
To
evaluate IT products/services whenever is required

5.
To
maintain and update Kinerja Website in cooperation with Senior Program and
Management Specialist

6.
To
supports IT needs on Kinerja Grantees Online Reporting

7.
To
work together with Provincial Coordinator or IT focal point to ensure the
smooth operation of IT infrastructure in provincial offices





Required
Qualifications:




 Immediately
     available
 Minimum
     Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information
     Technology from an accredited institution
 Minimum
     of 3 year experience installing/supporting/maintaining a wide range of IT
     infrastructure systems (Windows 2008 Server, Windows 7 clients, Backup
     solutions, Printers, Scanners, etc) in multiple locations
 Good
     work ethic and strong desire to complete tasks in a timely manner as
     directed
 Excellent
     written and oral communication skills
 Proficient
     in English
 Strong
     negotiator and ability to Work well independently and in a team
     environment
 Willing
     to travel up to 30% range.
