Lutheran World Relief (LWR), a U.S. based non-profit development organization engaged in seeking lasting solutions to poverty and reducing risk, is seeking an experienced Indonesian for maximum six months assignment Livelihood Advisor for its Indonesia programs to work in field sites in Simeulue and Singkil, Aceh, and reporting to the LWR office in Medan.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and description:
Help strategize Livelihoods implementation plan from project requirements.
Locate to coastal Aceh community to perform duties.
Coach, and cooperate with, field staff on implementation of Livelihoods assistance.
Interact with community groups, explaining the program and facilitating their participation.
Provide formal and informal training on basic business practices.
Evaluate community business group Business Plans.
Provide and facilitate technical support of small businesses in concert with field staff.
Help small businesses with marketing plans and efforts.
Evaluate small Business Group performance.
Understand, and cooperate with, full mission of field staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
At least 10 years of community development experience including managerial work within a Livelihood program
Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
Must be dependable, highly organized and have excellent communication skills
Be a team player with a positive "can-do" attitude
