Proposal Summary:
The
purpose of the anticipated Health Technical Assistance Project
(BANTU) is to identify, recruit, hire, administer and support qualified
individuals or organizations that will provide short or long-term technical
assistance directly to the Government of Indonesia (GoI) as needed and
requested by USAID/Indonesia’s Office of Health, in particular, to support
USAID’s GHI and CDCS strategies and priorities.
Position Summary:
MSI is seeking a Travel
and Logistics Specialist for the upcoming BANTU Project. The Specialist is
responsible for providing all in-country and international travel and logistical
requirements for project staff and short- and long-term technical specialists.
S/he will be working closely with project staff, clients and stakeholders; and must be extremely organized, adaptable and professional. This position will
be based full-time in Jakarta.

Responsibilities:
·
Plan travel and logistics for short- and
long-term technical specialists including visas/work permits, lodging, ground
transport and flights; both throughout Indonesia and internationally.

Develop and nurture relationships with air
service providers, hotel operators and implementing partners to support ongoing
travel logistics.

Identify problems, communicate, coordinate and
resolve problems related to travel requests.
·
Closely coordinate and cooperate with project
personnel to provide ad hoc surge support to include but not limited to travel
order processing, review medical records, review biographic data, resolve
post-travel issues, and fulfill pre-travel requirements as may be required.

Coordinate with Indonesian entities and
organizations to ensure smooth transition through customs and immigration, as
necessary.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s degree in international development, business
administration or related field.
·
Minimum three years of experience in managing travel and logistics
for teams of consultants and staff members on complex international development
programs with USAID or other donor funded projects.
·
High degree of professionalism, adaptability and
organization.
- Ability to work within a team and multitask.
·
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
