CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit.


CARE International Indonesia  in Head Quarter Office - Jakarta  is currently recruiting the following position for its project:

JOB PURPOSE
 
CII responding the impact of Jakarta and West Java 2014 flood by distributing basic hygiene kits to the community.  Two area targeted are Rawa Buaya – West Jakarta and Teluk Buyung village – Pakis Jaya/Karawang.  Further need for the Teluk Buyung is about the clean water and CII is planning to fill that gap by providing the clean water to community in that village.
 
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overall project management and coordination with partners, governments and communities.  The PM ensures that implementation strategies result in maximum impact and sustainability, that timely implementation of activities and quality results are achieved, and that donor and CARE Indonesia policies and procedures are adhered to.
 
The PM oversees the overall technical and operational strategies of the project ensuring programmatic integration of different WASH projects i.e. gender.   She/he plays a leadership role in developing implementation timelines and tools required for project interventions. S/he develops and manages the project overall budgets and reports to EPRM on project progress. The PM must ensure that community-based activities and government level advocacy activities are complementary and well-targeted.
 
Project Goal:
The community impacted by flood in West Jakarta and West Java has access to personal hygiene kit, sufficient clean water and practice the good hygiene/sanitation in their daily live.
 
Objectives:
·        Community of Teluk Buyung village, Pakis Jaya sub district, Karawang district, West Java province has sufficient access to clean water
·        Community awareness on health and hygiene practices is improved

Watsan Specialist, Construction Officer, & Capacity Building Officer
 

QUALIFICATIONS
 
A-     Education
Required:
§  A University degree in a related field to education, public health Socio-Economic Development, Social Policy, Gender studies etc.
 
B-     Experience
Required:
§  3 years successful record in Project Management at middle to senior level.
§  2-3 years of specialized experience working with civil society organizations and/or advocacy efforts.
§  Experience of working on issues related to WASH in community level.
§  Experience in conduct the KAP survey and analysis.
§  Familiarity with a diverse number of cross-cutting themes such as rights based programming, networking, gender integration and policy advocacy.
 
C-     Technical skills
Required:
§  Proficiency in written and spoken English.
§  Organization and Presentation.
§  Report writing (in Bahasa & English).
§  Liaison and contract negotiation.
§  Budgeting and administration.
