Conservation International, an international
non-governmental organization, is seeking to fill 2 positions of SLP District Program Coordinator to be based in Mandailing Natal and Tapanuli
Selatan
The Sustainable Landscapes
Partnership (SLP) program will establish a replicable model of public-private
partnerships that foster low carbon development opportunities, thereby helping
to address global climate change and contribute to economic growth.
The District
Program Coordinator (DPC) is responsible for developing and implementing an
effective field program in Mandailing Natal and Tapanuli Selatan. This is a
middle-level position that has a proven record of good management experience
and will have the responsibility to oversee together with the Sumatra Program
Manager the planning, management and implementation of SLP field level
initiatives at its various project sites currently located in North Sumatra.
Responsibilities:
1.
Coordinate the SLP Field Program Development and Implementation.
· Provide
technical coordination, management and leadership primarily to support the SLP
program to ensure that program/project results meets SLP quality standards and
expectations and that these projects are progressing on schedule;
· Provide technical guidance for those field staff
different components in line with SLP work plans, annually, quarterly and
monthly basis.
·
Ensure
that program activities are aligned with SLP goals and objectives where a
fundamental element of these interventions is to promote stakeholder ownership,
‘buy-in’ and high quality outcomes that are replicable and can be scaled up;
· Ensure
that field staff and operations are on-line if not ahead of SLP program goals
and objectives with proposed work-plan activities drafted and submitted to
regional office;
·
Ensure
that all field staff are well supported, with training and capacity needs
readily identified on the ground.
·
Play
the role as backstopping support to the whole field project implementation in
daily basis.
2. Facilitate
a good collaboration among field staff,
local government departments and SLP’s technical teams/consultants;
· Coordinate regular field staff meeting in the field
office, sharing each other and follow up technical recommendation to regional
office.
·
Close coordination with local government departments
and built ownership and buy in the SLP success stories.
·
Facilitate a good cooperation among field staff with various
technical teams from SLP and government.
·
Support to partner organizations and consultants to
work together to achieve various target of SLP activities.
·
Provide invitation letter or official confirmation to
relevant government technical in term of training, workshops, seminar, etc.
3. Coordinate
a Good Project
Reporting and Administration
·
Provide regular progress report to different
stakeholders on the ground especially to local government.
·
Provide
details monthly work plan on whiteboard and pay attention for priority scale
agenda.
·
All
back to office reports are submitted timely for compilation;
· Together
with M&E coordinator, ensure performance indicator are in place and taking
into account the collection of reliable data and information;
·
Ensure
that all field expenses are allowable, valid and secure with annual budget
under SLP annual work plans.
· Ensure
that travel plan, advance and travel expenses reimbursement are accountable in
line with USAID rules and regulations;
·
Together
with M&E coordinator, coordinate event organizing and provide technical
assistance appropriately;
Qualifications:
Required:
·
At
Degree in social science, management, natural resource management-related
science with a minimum 5 years of experience
·
Has
experience in agribusiness, forestry or conservation work in Sumatra or another
location with wide range of networking;
·
Good
management and leadership experience;
·
Experience
in coordinating and managing program support from International and National
donor agencies,
·
foundations
and private sources with a preference for USAID;
·
Ability
to work effectively in cross-cultural situations with a wide range of people in
both the public and private sectors, including business, government,
non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, local communities,
consultants and volunteers.
·
Knowledge
and background in the customs and government organizations of Indonesia.
·
Willingness
to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field conditions,
often to remote areas and work weekends and after hours as needed.
·
Proven
record of success as part of interdisciplinary project teams;
·
Good
communication skills and develop network;
·
Fluent
in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing);
·
Computer
literate with excellent skills in office software suite
Preferred
·
The applicant should have a combination of
scientific, managerial, and diplomatic capacities;
·
Proven record of working in cross-cultural
situations with a wide range of people in both the public and private sectors,
including business, government, non-governmental organizations, donor
organizations, local communities, consultants and volunteers;
·
Hardworking and pays attention to details.
·
Good communication skills and develop network;
·
Willingness to travel and work long hours,
including work in arduous field conditions, often to remote areas and work
weekends and after hours as needed.
