Vacancy : Procurement Officer

The position is Jakarta based and full time.
Type of Contract : Fixed Term Agreement
Anticipated start immediately.

IFES promotes democratic stability by providing technical assistance and applying field-based research to the electoral cycle in countries around the world to enhance citizen participation and strengthen civil societies, governance and transparency. Founded in 1987 as a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, IFES has developed and implemented comprehensive, collaborative democracy solutions in more than 120 countries.

Currently we are seeking a Procurement Officer to help project implementation in IFES Indonesia. 
                                                                                                                                                           
Scope of Work:
a)      Responsible for procurement, project logistics and service contracting in compliance with IFES procurement rules and restructuring its paper archive;
b)      Coordinate procurement actions with Program and Finance Department;
c)       Conduct market survey for regularly purchased items to ensure cost effectiveness;
d)      Establish and maintain comprehensive inventory of all equipment to include signing out of valuable equipment to staff;
e)      Conduct bid analyses and prepare procurement documentation for review;
f)       Draft service/consultant/professional contracts;
g)      Assist with office and project administration;
h)      Act as Focal Person on Security;
i)        Other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements:
·         Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred;
·         Ability to demonstrate a keen interest in politics and electoral processes is required;
·         3 years work experience in a related field with an international organizations is required,
·         Strong analytical skills required;
·         Experience in AUSAID/USAID procurement rules and regulations is an advantage;
·         Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required;
·         Ability to take initiative and work with tight deadlines;
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills required;
·         Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs, Excel, Internet) required.
