Campaign Coordinator

This is a demanding role that requires
strong skills in campaigning for policy and political change, at both
the planning and execution level. The postholder must be able to deliver
consistently in a fast moving campaign environment
and seize new opportunities, while also working effectively in a
networked structure and managing diverse internal and external
stakeholder relationships.
Reports to: Communication & Advocacy ManagerKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Coordinate cross-programs campaign projects to build and demonstrate the breadth and depth of public support for action to save children's lives, working closely with colleagues in across projects and SCI Global Campaign team.
2. Create and implement a popular mobilization strategy for the EVERY ONE campaign in close collaboration with the Communications and Advocacy Manager and programs staff that is ambitious, externally-engaged and contributes to tangible change in the lives of children
3. Help build a global campaigning organization, by:
- Ensure the campaign benefits from existing advocacy and popular mobilization expertise and resources available across projects
- Facilitate cross organizational project teams to deliver joint implementation of campaigning activities, especially around global moments in the campaign calendar
- Support programs to deliver effective campaigning activities
- Integrate campaigning and fundraising strategies in coordination with the Fundraising team and the Communications and Advocacy Manger
- Ensuring consistently high quality and appropriate materials, strategic support and other tools to programs
- Maximize a more effective use of the online social media platforms to expand the campaigning objectives
· Strengthening collaboration with current existing CSO coalition and networks, that help to achieve campaign impact
· Create new ways of working with new partners to achieve greater impact
5. Contribute to a high-performing Advocacy and Campaign team, efficiently and effectively supporting the programs and colleagues across the country office to articulate and deliver a compelling agenda for the global, national and local campaign.
QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Proven experience in developing and implementing creative campaigns and building coalitions for change.
- Understanding of how popular mobilization helps to realize changes in policy and practice.
- Ability to identify opportunities to engage the public in advocacy strategies and convert these into clear campaign messaging and activities
- Experience of achieving change at the national level as well as in the sub national level, using a range of tactics
- Experience of building the capacity of others to deliver effective campaigns
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, and an ability to tailor communication to different audiences
- Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in.
