JOB SUMMARY
To assist Project
Manager (PM) for develop Production and Health of Livestock strategy,
specification and technique of the implementation of the activities, develop
monitoring tools and reporting
|

|
RESPONSIBILITIES
AND TASKS
| ||
|
1. Provision
of socialization and information of improve production and health of
livestock programs to beneficiaries.
2. Review, advice and monitor detailed activities to ensure compliance
with log frame/ project goal (output & outcome).
3. Ensure timely and good quality implementation of activities to meet
project goal.
4. Develop a monthly
report to the Project Manager on the progress made and potential problems..
5.
Ensure timely and good quality reporting on
activities and assist to compile routine progress report.
6. Develop the livestock production plan for business and caring
treatment purpose and ensure those plan is applied by the farmers at
household and group level.
7. Input and
recommendation for improving the performance and support of the Production
and Health Livestock component in the project.
8. Design and facilitate training related
production and health improvement of livestock.
9. Develop TOR and manage external consultant
recruited for certain activities if any.
10. Cooperate with the project team work to synchronized and complement other
specialist and field officer to integrate project activities for effective
and efficiency implementation.
11. Ensure integration of
vulnerability, gender and equity, and natural resource management/
environmental issues into plans, activities and monitoring.
12. Coordinate with support
units as necessary, and ensure that procurement and handling are carried out
according to relevant CII principles and procedures.
13. Assist with management
of project budgets and reporting and ensure timely submission and review of
information for financial and admin reports (e.g. vehicle report, travel
advance and expenses).
14. Coordinate and cooperate, when necessary, with other
project within CARE International Indonesia, including provide support if
applicable.
15. Support monitors and evaluation activity ranging from baseline
development, baseline update, impact assessment and other measurement
activities, including compile data.
16. Assist Project Manager to build network with partners, private sector,
sub-district/ district/ provincial government and other non-governmental
agencies in project areas.
17. Support identification and implementation of potential innovation of
the project to increase the project outreach or increase institutional added
value of CARE International Indonesia.
18.
Conduct any other duties that may reasonably be
assigned in line with the position.

|
QUALIFICATIONS
·
University degree in Agriculture or Animal
Husbandry or any relevant background.
·
3 - 5 years of previous Agriculture and livestock
experience in a similar project in an NGO setting.
·
Have extensive experiences in the sought sectors,
know effective approaches for Agriculture and livestock interventions, and
able to apply them in a participatory manner.
·
Understand gender issues and gender-sensitive
approach in the programming.
·
Good communications skills, including negotiation
skills.
·
Good interpersonal skills, including patience,
diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for beneficiaries.
·
Willing to spend a considerable amount of time in
the field.
·
Honest, responsible, self motivated and able to
take initiative under minimum supervision
·
Able to give helpful directions, detailed
instructions and demonstrations.
·
Demonstrate ability to work independently as well
as a part of a team in a cross cultural environment.
·
Able to negotiate and to clarify expectations of
both the beneficiaries and team.
·
Competent in Windows, MS Office programs, email
and database experience.
·
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
·
Ability to work under pressure in a potentially
unstable security environment.
