Institutional Strengthening Consultant
The ASEAN-U.S. Partnership for Good
Governance, Equitable and Sustainable Development and Security (PROGRESS)
project, funded by USAID and implemented by DAI, seeks a short-term consultant
to work between September to December 2014 to assist with the following
tasks:
1. Workshop planning and facilitation
· Design
a workshop that is tailored to the needs of the client, including workshop
scope, including methodology, approach, program (topics, sessions, etc.)
and agenda;
· Facilitate
discussion at the workshop (est. 2 days) ;
· Obtain
and compile relevant information, comments, and inputs from the workshop
presentation and discussion; and
· Produce
the final report for the workshop identifying key priorities, issues, and
needs for strengthening institutional structure and implementation of core
functions.
2. Develop of a Set of Recommendations
To develop a set of recommendation on
institutional strengthening and program approaches for consideration by
the client based on the presentation and deliberations at the workshop.
3. Develop of a Plan of Action
To develop a plan of action to enhance
approach to protecting women’s and children’s rights based on lessons
learned and best practices, as well as recommendations and feedback received
during the workshop.
Position Requirements:
· 7-10
years of relevant professional experience in institutional strengthening,
organizational development, children and women’s rights, and strategic
planning
· International
experience, particularly in South East Asia and ASEAN countries
· Experience
with workshop plan facilitation and planning
· Master’s
degree in relevant studies required
