Term of Contract : 12 Month

Job Description
WFK (World Friends Korea) Program, operated by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is the volunteer dispatch program of the government of republic of Korea to Indonesia. Annually, 50 to 100 volunteers and advisors are dispatched to Indonesia for the activities in the field, especially concerning early childhood education, IT training, vocational training, etc. We are now working with ministries and regional government concerned across Java, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi. KOICA is a government agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Korean Government. KOICA has played its role as an implementing organization of the Korean Government’s bilateral grant aid and technical cooperation programs to the developing countries.  
 

  
WFK Volunteer Program Coordination
-   Support safety management work for foreign volunteers
-   Support the planning of the annual volunteer dispatch program and coordinate with 
    related stakeholders
-   Performing or supporting the demand surveys (need assessment) for the identifying the 
    needs of volunteer dispatch across regions
-   Supporting the communication with ministries and regional government concerned to 
    identify the needs of volunteer dispatch
-   Coordinating with related ministries and regional government for the approval of dispatch 
    and perform the related administrative tasks on a timely basis
-   Supporting the field training of dispatched volunteers in Indonesia by taking necessary 
    administrative process and communicating with related stakeholders
-    Monitoring the activities of volunteers and regularly checking their safety according to the
     internal regulation
-    Providing administrative support for volunteers when finishing their duty, changing the 
    location of their duty, extension of their duty, etc. (e.g. visa extension)
-    Maintaining the data and documentation related to the volunteer dispatch matters
-    Organizing and supporting the evaluation meeting
-    Maintaining regular records in case of the official meetings or ceremony
-    Providing the regular report to KOICA supervisors about monitoring result on volunteer 
     activities and communications with  partner organizations

Related Administrative Service and Responsibilities
-    Support meetings and workshops held by KOICA Indonesia technically
-    Coordination for visa arrangement, renewal and expiration for dispatched Korean 
     volunteers with related ministries and 
     organizations
        -    Provide support to Resident Representative and/or Deputy Resident Representative in 
             document and correspondence preparation and follow-ups

Others
-    Candidates who can start work in KOICA on October 2014
-    Bachelor degree with relevant major which can perform above mentioned tasks
-    Preferably with minimum 3 years of experience working in related organizations
-    Willing to develop a good teamwork with the Partnership staff; having a good skill in report 
     writing, and good skill on the use of  ICT
-    Having significant roles in lobby and advocacy
-    Excellent communication both in oral and written in Bahasa Indonesia and English and 
     interpersonal skills
-     Excellent administration and organizational skills
-     Profound knowledge of modern telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, scanner, 
     e-mail, internet and its software).
-     Flexible, able to multi-task and work well in under pressure

  1. I think this position at KOICA is really confusing, because they have been opening the job so many times yet they haven't managed to find the right candidates. The standard for choosing candidate is bias.
