ProRep is Looking for Citizen Representation Specialist

Chemonics International, a leading international development consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks qualified Indonesian specialists to fill the position of Citizen Representation Specialist on its project entitled Program Representasi (ProRep). ProRep is a USAID-supported project designed to help civil society organizations (CSOs), public policy research centers and other institutions become more representative, effective and responsive to citizens’ needs. The project initiated in April 2011 and is expected to last until April 2015 or April 2016. For further information on the program, please visit www.representasiefektif.org. Overall requirements:

The Citizen Representation Specialist is responsible for contributing to technical strategy, and implementation of Project Component 1, Strengthening the Representational Capacity of Membership-and-Constituency-based CSOs, and the development and implementation of policy community activities, especially with regards to the health and education policy communities. This includes:
-      Providing advisory, mentoring, technical assistance, training to CSO partners and grantees to support their achievement of policy goals;
-      Collaborating with short-term experts, subcontractors, and grantees as required;
-      Developing and managing health and education policy communities involving CSO partners, grantees, and other important stakeholders; 
-      Collect data and report on programs for monitoring and evaluation purposes;
-      Review grants reports and deliverables and provide suggestions for refinement.
Qualifications:
-      University graduate, Master Degree preferred
-      Have at least 10 years of experience in CSO capacity building
-      Well acquainted with CSOs and CSO issues, particularly in regards to the role of CSOs in policy advocacy
-      Deep understanding and experience working on policies regarding provision of health services and the national health insurance desirable. 
-      Have excellent interpersonal communication skills
-      Creative and open minded
-      Able to work in cross cultural environments
-      Excellent English language skills
