Vacancy for video consultant for producing post-release
documentary film
Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is an International
Non-Governmental Organization which works on peace-building and conflict
transformation issues. SFCG works with various stakeholders such as government,
security sectors, and civil society in order to transform the way world deals
with conflict from adversarial into cooperative solutions. Since its
establishment in 1982, nowadays SFCG has worked in 35 countries worldwide
consisting countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and America.
SFCG has established in Indonesia since 2002, with various
peace-building programs as we have encouraged many actors from different
background to cooperate finding solutions towards conflict based on mutual
understanding and respect through dialogue, capacity building, and media
production (comic book, television series, and community radio).
SFCG is now looking for video consultant for producing
post-release documentary film which depicts the post-release life of
ex-convicted terrorists during their reintegration process towards society
after spending several years inside correction facility. This film production
is aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of creating supportive
environment for ex-convicted terrorists in terms of reintegrating their life
within society as well as to encourage society to develop ex-offenders to make
a better living. The film production activities will be held within four
locations around Indonesia: Jakarta, Semarang, Bandung, and Solo, involving
several ex-offenders as a resource person in a six months program.
General Requirements:
1.
Candidates should have at least 5 years
experiences in producing documentary video / film
2.
Mastering skills on documentary video
production and in-depth interview methods.
3.
Understanding issues regarding violent
conflict, recidivism, and violent extremism in
Indonesian context would
be good advantages
4.
Willing
to travel to selected cities for doing research and shooting
