Chemonics
International Inc. seeks a Training Coordinator for the USAID-funded
Indonesia Marine and Climate Support (IMACS) project. This project provides
technical support for improving key marine and fisheries sector components with
the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), local governments, coastal
communities, and the private sector.
The Training Coordinator will
help the technical and operations team implement short-term in-country
training, event and workshop requirements for the project in a holistic manner.
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the management,
design, arrangement, and execution of trainings, events, and workshops carried
out or supported by IMACS. The Training Coordinator will do this work in
compliance with USAID regulations and Chemonics policy. This assignment will
take place from early January 2015 until early March 2015, with the potential
for a six month renewal.
Specific requirements
The Training Coordinator will
ensure short-term trainings, as well as events and workshops, meet
organizational and administrative quality goals, including all record keeping,
and ensure data on participants and bills from vendors are complete, so that
that IMACS contract performance targets and deliverables are completed in a
timely and cost-effective manner. Specifically the Training Coordinator will
carry out the following tasks, among others as needs dictate:

Develop effective working
relationships with leaders and counterparts, focusing on the MMAF, DKP, IMACS
staff and consultants, IMACS partners (URI-CRC, PNCI), MRP professionals (NOAA,
MPAG, etc.) and others participating in the design, development, testing and
implementation of training activities.
•
Meet and liaise with leaders,
technical experts, and team members as needed to accomplish the assigned
training activities.
•
Ensure trainings and/or
events/workshops are implemented in accordance with the IMACS training plan and
standard operating procedures.
•
Responsible for working on and/or
completing training/workshop/event reports in coordination with the technical
teams.
•
Ensure the preparation and
distribution of training evaluations, and collect and provide data to the
Monitoring and Information Specialist.
•
Oversee and coordinate all
logistical aspects of trainings including, but not limited to, arranging
travel, processing travel clearances, fielding consultants, arranging the
venue, confirming training participants, preparing invitations, banner and
backdrops.
•
Oversee and maintain all
administrative files in regards to trainings/events/workshops including travel
clearances/itineraries, consultant transport and lodging information, and all
other non-accounting related documentation.
•
Oversee and support the work of the
Training Assistant.
•
Provide support to the operations
and technical teams in Jakarta and the regions and fulfill other administrative
and financial functions as required.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s preferred or relevant experience.
·
Minimum five (5) years of experience working in
administration and finance preferred.
·
Experience working in event management preferred.
·
Previous supervisory experience required
·
Strong communication skills, both interpersonal
and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.

Strong English writing and speaking skills required.
