Quantitative Survey Data Analyst
The
Education Partnership (EP) is Australia’s largest bilateral aid program
to date. GRM International Pty Ltd has been appointed as the
Performance Oversight and Monitoring (POM) contractor
for the EP. As part of its mandate, POM implements a range of research
and evaluation studies to assess the progress towards achievement of the
End-of-Partnership Outcomes (EOPOs) and to monitor previous investments
in education. POM research and evaluation
studies are based upon a mixed methods approach designed to enable
reporting on measurable indicators via quantitative methods, as well as
provide a deeper understanding of how and why these changes are
occurring via qualitative methods.
A
number of research and evaluation studies using quantitative surveys
are now underway which will require the professional services of a Data
Analyst.
Purpose of Role
The Data Analyst will be required to support each of the Lead Analysts for the various quantitative surveys as follows:
i. Australia Indonesia Basic Education Program (AIBEP) 2014 Survey – (January/February 2015)
ii. Education Participation in Junior Secondary Education – (September 2015)
iii. Quality of School Management Baseline – (January-March 2015)
iv. Quality of School Management End-line – (January/February 2016)
v. Quality of Madrasah Education Services Baseline – (January/February 2015)
vi. Quality of Madrasah Education Services End-line (November 2015)
Duration
It is estimated that the total number of days for this assignment between January 2015 and February 2016 will be 90 days.
Minimum education and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the conduct of analysis of quantitative research survey data with a strong emphasis on spatial analysis and preparation of detailed reports.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other relevant databases – specifically STATA.
- Experience in the education sector is preferred but is not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic and an ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines.
- Commitment to ensure accuracy and deal with confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
