Development Director with a real commitment to gender equality and
overcoming poverty. This post will be based in Jakarta for fixed term
contract 12 months.

JOB PURPOSE:
To implement discrete, strategic processes which are fundamental to the
achievement of the objectives within the role holder?s area or department,
deliver a high level specialist advisory service; manage high level
support services to facilitate the delivery of senior management
objectives. Lead and manage the Business Development Unit. S/he will
directly report to Oxfam International Country Director with 4 direct
reports (Marketing Comms & PR Coordinator, Program Quality Coordinator,
Program Funding Coordinator, Knowledge Management & Research Coordinator).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall responsible for program growth and business development for Oxfam
in Indonesia. Complex, highly demanding management role working in close
collaboration with the Country Director and Program Directors to order to
achieve the ambitions set out in the Oxfam Indonesia Strategy 2015 ? 2020
. Responsible for regularly recommending and implementing significant
changes in business development and organisation to meet future needs and
make significant improvements for Oxfam in programme funding, quality and
learning, marketing and communication and knowledge development . Works
corporately and communicates across divisions.

Manage the Marketing Communications & Public Relations Team to ensure:
? resource mobilisation and increasing our profile in the country.
? communication, internally and externally is coordinated and of high
quality.
? good Government and Donor relations are established and maintained.
? Legal contractual and MOU Issues are handled in the most effective way.
? investment is made in marketing branding & competitiveness of Oxfam in
Indonesia.
? provide support to all projects in campaigns and build capacity of
partners on influencing and campaigning.

Manage the Program Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Team to ensure:
? monitoring and evaluation are uniform and of high standard.
? learning is coordinated and will take place from the ME results.
? high standard of quality program delivery.
? team works in close collaboration with the Program Leads.
? steering takes place on improvements in operations & efficiency.

Manage the Funding (institutional and local) Team to ensure that:
? internal knowledge on fundraising is improved.
? Improvements are made on actual Institutional (& local) fundraising.
? Fundraising is embed in the business development.
? Quality and timeliness of donor reporting is secured.
? Contract management is well organised.

Manage the Knowledge Management & Research Team to ensure that:
? knowledge sharing and capacity building is coordinated internally and
externally.
? knowledge is being generated more effectively within the organisation
and disseminated with external stakeholders.
? research is being coordinated and performed to a high standard.
? flexible support is provided to the program teams on the issues:
Gender, Influencing & Active Citizenship and Organisational
& Institutional Development.
? good working relationship is developed with Communications to publish
materials and articles.
? provide capacity building support and on the job coaching to partners
and government institutions.
? support is given to the crosscutting experts, who will develop tools and
methods that staff and partners can use in different programs.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

At least 10 years work experience, preferably in Profit as well as in Non
Profit Sector.
Excellent track record in Business Development in Non Profit Sector.
Able to provide highly successful team leadership and constantly
anticipates areas of challenge, interpreting and delivering solutions and
furthering the organisation?s objectives in doing so.
Extensive line management experience of professionals (including remote
and functional line management).
Excellent of delivering against targets and deadlines focussed on planned
and successful new Business Development.
Excellent capacity to confidently advise peers and superiors in area of
Business Development.
Produces high-level communications on technical/specialist issues and is
able to manage sensitive matters.
Maximises the productivity of resources managed and within remit looks for
ways in which processes and quality may be improved
Is seen as a role model within the area/department and as someone who
maximises their own contribution and the contribution of other team
members.
Anticipates issues and pro-actively problem-solving.
Strong conceptual thinking skills with relevant senior programme
management experience & knowledge.
Strong Knowledge, understanding and experience of cross cutting issues.
Extensive impact of programme effectiveness, quality and accountability
across the nation.
Relevant and/or International working experience is a plus.
