SLP Field District Policy Coordinator

SLP Field District Policy Coordinator
Responsibilities:
 
·      Facilitate internal meetings with SLP consultant team and thematic divisions on SLP inputs to the district SEA and REDD+ development;
·         Facilitate the SLP thematic and consultant teams can join with SEA and REDD+ district meetings/workshops.
·      Assist the SLP divisions in developing the thematic inputs, such as HVC and watershed areas, carbon stocks, sustainable livelihoods and ‘green’ economic development.
·         Assist the district government to develop ‘green’ SEA development based on SLP inputs
·         Ensure that monthly, bi-annual and annual reports are submitted on time for review;
·         Assist M&E SEA and REDD+ systems are in place.
·         Ensure that field expenses are allowable and in line with budget proposals and USAID regulations. 
·         Consider innovative ways of capturing and communicating key program successes and achievements.
·         Partnership with local community, NGOs and private sectors to get their inputs to Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and REDD+ document.
·         Promote experience-based learning processes and policy feedback loops/mechanisms with the SLP field programs and partner government, private sector, and civil society
 
Qualifications:
·         Has degree in regional development, forestry, environmental economic and natural resource management-related science;
·         Experience in facilitating and developing SEA , REDD+ process with a minimum 5 years of experience;
·      Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations with a wide range of people in both the public and private sectors, including business, government, non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, local communities, consultants and volunteers;
·         Knowledge and background in the customs and government organizations of Indonesia;
·       Willingness to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field conditions, often to remote areas and work weekends and after hours as needed;.
·         Proven record of success as part of interdisciplinary project teams;
·         Good communication skills and develop network;
·         Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
·         Computer literate; humorist, hardworking, easygoing
 
Preferred:
·         Have a good scientific knowledge of SEA policy and sustainable natural resources management.
·         At least 5 years work consultant experienced in developing SEA document or similar document such AMDAL and RTRWK
