International is an Ottawa-based Canadian management consulting firm specializing
in international development. We work primarily on projects funded by

We are
currently seeking to recruit an Indonesian part-time Communications Consultant (up to 45 days over 5 months) to provide assistance for a DFATD-funded project to support
Indonesia’s Islands of Integrity Program for Sulawesi (SIPS). The project currently
assists 10 sub-national governments in North and South Sulawesi in reducing
opportunities for corruption through implementing transparent government
administration practices in three areas: a) the establishment and improvement
of one stop services (PTSP) for licenses and other
government services, b) support PAS (Disdukcapil) for identity cards and other personal information
services, and c) fair and efficient procurement (Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa/PBJ) systems and processes. Our
national partner is KPK.
1.
Assist in developing a strategy for communicating
good governance practices to reduce opportunities for corruption which addresses the issues of target audiences, messaging
and media. Once approved, the Consultant will
provide ad hoc support to facilitate the strategy’s implementation.
2.
Assist with design
and production of learning and communications materials in each area of reform drawn from case studies with the project’s 10 partner sub-national
governments.
3.
Strengthen
the capacity of existing communications
staff in Jakarta in the production of communications products for
placement in specialized and mass media channels, whether print or web content.
4.
Strengthen the capacity of existing communications staff in
Sulawesi to work with media professionals to develop newsworthy briefs and
backgrounders on corruption prevention.
Minimum
Qualifications:
1.
Relevant Post-Secondary Degree
2.
10 years’ experience in the area of communication
and media strategy, particularly in government agencies and especially at the
local level, including minimum of two years working with an international
agency
3.
Familiarity with current government anti-corruption
initiatives
4.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral/written)
and proven ability to produce clear reports, including action plans, and well-presented
communication strategy materials
5.
Willingness to travel to project areas in Sulawesi
