Position Title
Job Summary
AECOM
International Development is seeking personnel with relevant backgrounds and
technical skills in the areas of climate
change adaptation, funding and finance, data, and knowledge management, as well
as urban planning and disaster risk management and other related fields
for an anticipated USAID-funded multi-year
project intended to support the Government of Indonesia’s efforts to integrate
disaster risk reduction and climate change adaption in to core development
plans and investments.
The project will work with local communities, the
private sector, and government counterparts to strengthen the resilience of communities
to the effects of natural disasters and climate change and the development and
delivery of key climate information services to stakeholders. Individuals with
the following background skills and experience are encouraged to apply:

Developing
policy and approaches to support the integration of climate adaptation
activities into development planning and investments
·
Building
management capacity in government and public organizations in the areas of
climate change
·
Designing
and conducting vulnerability and risk assessments related to climate change
impacts
·
Facilitating
private sector engagement in the delivery of climate change-related products
and services
·
Procurement
of private and public sector funding for climate change adaptation activities
·
Experience
working directly with local communities (including the private sector) to boost
their capacity to take actions that strengthen their resilience to climate
change and natural hazards
·
Understanding
and employment of innovative technology using climate data through tools such
as remote sensing, GIS, and mapping
·
Empowering
women to take on leadership roles in climate change adaptation or disaster risk
reduction management
·
USAID
project administration and management, rules and regulations, and monitoring
and evaluation systems
