Re Advert - SLP Field Forestry Coordinator Base on Tapanuli Utara

We are currently looking to fill the following position for our office in Tapanuli Utara (TapUt):



SLP Field Forestry Coordinator
Responsibilities:
·     Provide capacity building support at district level, including facilitating stakeholder meetings and training to accelerate FMU development - activities will include: (i) update mapping; (ii) analyze forest land uses; and (iii) prepare FMU management plans for each district.
·     Engage with the District Governments in North Tapanuli on designated areas, and benefits to be realized from establishing FMU structures, in terms of integrated land management and revenue flows.
·         Ensure that monthly, bi-annual and annual reports are submitted on time for review
·         Consider innovative ways of capturing and communicating key program successes and achievements.
·         Partnership with local community, NGOs and private sectors to get their inputs to Conservation SEA document.
·      Promote experience-based learning processes and policy feedback loops/mechanisms with the SLP field programs and partner government, private sector, and civil society organizations
 
Qualifications:
·         Has degree in forestry, biology, ecology and natural resource management-related science
·         Experience in developing conservation management with a minimum 5 years of experience
·      Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations with a wide range of people in both the public and private sectors, including business, government, non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, local communities, consultants and volunteers;
·         Knowledge and background in the customs and government organizations of Indonesia
·       Willingness to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field conditions, often to remote areas and work  weekends and after hours as needed
·         Proven record of success as part of interdisciplinary project teams
·         Good communication skills and develop network
·         Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
·         Computer literate; humorist, hardworking, easygoing.
 
Preferred:
§  Have a good scientific knowledge of conservation and sustainable natural resources management.
