THE OPPORTUNITY
We
are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Project Manager to lead
a new, cutting-edge product development and distribution model testing
assignment for a multi-national corporation client. The product is
designed to improve the lives of women living in rural settings. This
assignment is based in Nigeria.
DURATION
4 months starting in April 2015. There is a possibility of extension if the project is a success.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline such as economics or business management.
- Prior experience in new product development in emerging markets or management consulting experience in emerging markets.
- Flexible and adaptable self-starter who can work with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Advanced computer skills with fluency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Impact and data focused.
- A can-do and collaborative mind set – comfortable with the ambiguities and demands of a rapidly evolving work environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- High energy levels.

- Willingness to travel and spend time in challenging environments.
- At least 5 years professional work experience. Experience working in Nigeria a big plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manage overall project and ensure timely and quality delivery
- Manage project analyst
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND CLIENT MANAGEMENT
- Cultivate and manage client relationship
- Understand client needs and develop and implement the work plan
PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Identify and develop new partnerships with local partners.
MARKET RESEARCH
- Conduct market research
- Conduct competitor assessment
- Conduct research on current practices and how new product could ease burden of current practices
- Conduct willingness to pay study
INTRODUCTION OF PRODUCT AND COLLECTION OF FEEDBACK
- Introduce new product into the market
- Collect product feedback
- Test potential distribution models
- Collect and analyse data on product feedback and on distribution models
DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORT WRITING
- Manage the data analysis and report writing process.
- Clean and analyze data collected in the field.
- Interpret and summarize the findings in a succinct, visual way.
- Propose actionable recommendations on product modification and distribution model to clients based on key findings.
