Vacancy: Sustainable Development Manager & Sustainable Development Specialist at The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy is a conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.



Currently we are searching for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

1.      SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Sustainable Development Manager supports and manages the account on corporate partnerships (50%) and corporate practices (50%) to enhance the effective coordination and communication and is the point of contact to ensure good coordination and alignment.  S/he oversees the implementation of these corporate partnerships and practices.  S/he is responsible for engaging and stewarding relationships with corporates and central government as well as for the success of corporate engagement cycle.

-          Relationship Management Support & Stewardship

Supports and stewards on-going corporate account relationships and national government agenda on related issues/trends. Continually works to enhance the effective coordination and communication among related stakeholders.

·      Build and maintain relationships on key corporate accounts and national government networks

·      Monitor and ensure all KPIs, targets, & goals mentioned in LOI, strategy, & work plan are achieved as planned

·      Ensure all relevant database relating to corporate account management and national policy issues are maintained

·      Work closely with internal teams and procedures to get support and align with corporate engagement, program, marketing communication and national policy team

·      Engage with relevant events/issues to support the relationship with related stakeholders

·      Provide timely & accurate progress report to TNC’s relevant Indonesia Leadership Team members

-             Risk Review Management

·         Manage & mitigate risks related to on-going corporate engagement works and national policy issues related to projects.

·         Develop learning networks, trainings and resources to enhance organization’s capacity and knowledge on corporate engagement and national policy trends.

·         Provide updates on current corporate practice and environmental issues to oversee risks. 

The Sustainable Development Manager is based in Jakarta and reports to the Corporate Engagement Associate Director.

Requirements:

·   Bachelor’s degree in political science, environmental policy, management or other relevant field and 5 years of government relations or corporate sector experience, or equivalent combination education/experience. 

·   Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

·   Analytical and project management experience. Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and implementing complex projects in an unstructured environment.

·   Supervisory experience.

·   Strong communication and presentation skills

·   Experience in negotiating with corporates, national government or related stakeholders.

 

2.      SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

The Sustainable Development Specialist supports and manages the account on corporate partnerships (50%) and corporate practices (50%) to enhance the effective coordination and communication. S/he is responsible for engaging and stewarding relationships with corporates and central government.

-          Relationship Management Support & Stewardship

Supports and liaises with Sustainable Development Manager on day-to-day coordination and communication related to on-going corporate engagement projects and provincial/local government issues.

·         Support and maintain relationships on corporate accounts and provincial/local government networks

·         Monitor and ensure all KPIs, targets, & goals mentioned in LOI, strategy, & work plan are achieved as planned

·         Ensure all relevant database relating to corporate account management and provincial/local policy issues are maintained

·         Liaise with internal teams and procedures to get support

·         Engage with relevant events/issues to advance the relationship with related stakeholders

·         Provide timely & accurate inputs & data on project/program progress to Sustainable Development Manager to be compiled as project progress report to Indonesia Leadership Team

-          Risk Review Management

Manage & mitigate risks related to on-going corporate engagement works and provincial/local policy issues related to projects.

The Sustainable Development Specialist is based in Samarinda, East Kalimantan with frequent travel to Jakarta and reports to the Sustainable Development Manager. 

Requirements:

·   Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of corporate engagement, government relations government relations or equivalent

·   Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

·   Experience in designing, implementing and directing multiple complex projects and ensuring program accountability.

·   Communications experience including preparing and presenting project proposals, and developing written communications.

·   Experience negotiating with other agencies, companies, private parties or related entities.

·   Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.  Good written and oral communication and organizational skills.
