Materials Tailored to MSM & TG Community”

APPLICATIONS
The Humanist
Institute for Co-operation with Developing Countries (Hivos) is a Dutch Humanist NGO
which has an established track record of supporting initiatives that promote
gender equality and human rights particulalry among LGBT groups world wide. Hivos
jointly implements the ISEAN Hivos Program (IHP) supported by Global Fund Round
10. This
program has the main goal of reducing the risks, vulnerability and impact of
HIV and AIDS on the lives of MSM and transgender community in Island Southeast
Asia Nations. It intends to address critical gaps in supporting and scaling up
activities that reduce HIV/AIDS among MSMs and TGs. Hivos, as the Principal
Recipient of the grant under the ISEAN-Hivos Program Global Fund Round 10 is
now on its Phase 2 of implementation from October, 2013 to September, 2016.
In its work, Hivos has often
partnered with the Ministry of Foreign Service of the Netherlands
Government (MFS). Funds from the MFS are utilized to support local partners in
achieving humanist endeavors including creating open societies.
GWL-INA Network,
as the Sub Recipient Indonesia of the grant under the ISEAN-Hivos Program
Global Fund Round 10 will be conducting its Phase 2 of implementation from
October, 2013 to September, 2016. Supported by ISEAN Hivos Program (IHP) phase
2, as follow up of previous series of BCC activities in the past year, GWL-INA
is now developing BCC guidelines tailored to MSM and transgender Indonesia for
future interventions program.
Specifically, Hivos and GWL-INA through this
activity jointly aim to expand the reach and utilization of HIV-related and
MSM-targeted BCC guidelines through the development and dissemination of
innovative BCC materials. Given to the growing number of smart-phone users
among the MSM & TG populations in Indonesia, a smart-phone based apps of
practical BCC guideline for field workers that may also be equipped with some
digital BCC material would be useful for the future BCC implementation. In this
regard, GWL-INA is seeking applications for a Smart-phone based BCC guideline
Apps and Graphic designer for BCC digital materials tailored to MSM & TG
community.
Timeframe:
- Smart-phone Apps Developer
Twenty
five days developing works which cover the following tasks:
a. Developing
smart-phone based apps during 4th weeks of June – the end of 3rd
week of August 2015
b. Trial
smart-phone apps of 1st week of September 2015
c.
Final reporting the end of 2nd weeks of September
2015
- Graphic Designer
Five
days designing works which cover the following tasks:
a. Consultation
meeting 3rd week of June 2015 (Not include on 5 days works)
b. Graphic
designing for BCC digital materials during 4th week June – 3rd
week of July 2015
Key Qualifications:
A. Smart-phone
Apps Developer
1. Associate’s
degree with coursework in Web Design, Computer Studies, Management Information Systems,
or related field and a web site development or related certificate.
2. Direct
and increasingly responsible experience in smart-phone apps design and
development.
3. Strong
smart-phone apps project coordination
experience developing multiple apps with
diverse clients; and
4. Demonstrated
experience solving issues of smart-phone apps/device compatibility to create
smart-phone apps that can be used on any type of platform/device.
B. Graphic
Designer
1. Diploma
or university degree in graphic design related field or relevant professional
experience
2. Excellent
skills in using graphic design related software (Illustrator, In-Design,
Photoshop)
3. Proven
creative skills in visualizing concepts or design or making info-graphics
4. At
least three years of professional
graphic designer
5. Good
English skill is an advantage.
Minimum
requirements:
1.
Understand the key concepts and updated issues of
MSM and transgender in Indonesia. (GRD)
2.
Must have excellent communication, presentation and
writing skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. (SAD & GRD)
