CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and enterprise & economic development.


CARE International Indonesia in Kupang (East Nusa Tenggara-NTT) is currently recruiting the following position for its project:


JOB TITLE                             : KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT and REPORTING SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT/PROJECT    : PROGRAM/PfR
REPORTS TO                        : PROJECT MANAGER and ALLIANCE LEAD (PM)




JOB SUMMARY


The Knowledge Management and Reporting Specialist is a critical position responsible for encourage learning and knowledge management within the program and beyond, as well as collecting, storing, analyzing and disseminating data to support the IRM dialogue component of the PfR program.

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing systems to ensure the effective, accurate and sustainable collection of information and data as it relates to PfR strategic outcomes. He/she is also a key person responsible for leading on the reporting of progress back to the Project Manager and Alliance Lead (PM), using the data and evidence collected through the aforementioned systems.

This role will provide support to both the PfR team at CARE and the wider PfR members in Indonesia, acting as a Knowledge Management resource and providing data and evidence-based reports on a regular basis and upon request.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Knowledge Management;
2. Data Collection and Management;
3. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E);
4. Reporting and other.



QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Social Study, Communications, or other related field;
2. At least 8 years of experience in community development, development cooperation and/or humanitarian activities in Indonesia;
3. Experience working in a community outreach capacity;
4. Experience in knowledge management, including data collection and management;
5. Experience working with a development NGO;
6. Relevant knowledge and/or experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and ecosystem management restoration;
7. Experience in participatory planning and review techniques;
8. Experience of the asset based approach (appreciative inquiry);
9. Knowledge and/or experience of the community based adaptation;
10. An understanding of gender issues and gender-sensitive approach to programming;
11. Capacity building, communication and facilitation skills;
12. Willingness to spend a lot of time in the field;
13. Strong interpersonal skills;
14. Ability to work with little supervision;
15. Practical computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.);
16. Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team in a cross cultural environment;
17. Experience working in NTT or eastern Indonesia region;
18. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
19. Fluently spoken and written English.
