Request for Proposal - to facilitate capacity
building activities for key stakeholders on the weekly IFA supplementation
program among school-going adolescent girls in Purwakarta District and Cimahi
City, West Java Province
The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is an
international Non-Government Organization (NGO) dedicated to ensuring that the
world’s most vulnerables – especially women and children in developing
countries – get the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive.
With headquarters in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains regional offices in New Delhi,
India and Dakar, Senegal that manage our country offices in Asia and Africa.
MI Indonesia is supporting the government in
demonstrating a program model for implementing an intervention on weekly iron
and folic acid supplementation for school-going adolescent girls to reduce the
prevalence of anemia among them.
To support
program delivery, MI
will undertake training of front-line
health workers and school health program (UKS) teachers on forecasting,
reporting and recording of WIFA, its benefits, dosage and administration, counseling
of adolescent girls on weekly IFA supplementation program and improving dietary
practices and monitoring and supervision. MI seeks support of a local
agency to facilitate the trainings as per the program design.

The duration of contract will be 8 weeks and
the activities are anticipated to be conducted in September 2016.

• References (minimum 3 relevant experiences);
• Proposal including financial submission (for bidding)
