Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the
better. We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a
strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia
namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik. To this end, Yayasan
has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which
focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in
strategic middle income countries.
Currently Save the Children’s programs in
Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in
eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals,
and programming in Child Protection, Education,
Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian
Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER
1 position, based in North Jakarta

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Education Program Manager
will lead all activities of Save the Children’s education programs under
North Jakarta Office; with additional task also covering one component
in Belu, West
Timor, NTT Province. The specific Programmes that the Education Program
Manager will oversee consist of both Basic Education and Early
Childhood Education programs sub-theme; which funded by multi types of
donors both from corporate as well as government funding.
This position will be based out of our office in North Jakarta.
Programme implementation duties include ensuring all program activities
are implemented according to plan and at a high-level of quality; all
reporting and planning is completed in a timely manner
and at a high-quality; all communications are completed in a timely and
accurate manner; we coordinate well with key external stakeholders; all
child safeguarding controls are enforced; and financial and
administrative management adheres to Save the Children
and donors policies, regulations, and good practices. The Technical
Program Manager will also lead on technical sector planning in the field
office and ensure we advocate with key government stakeholders to
achieve positive change using evidence from our program
work as the basis. S/he will represent Save the Children in North
Jakarta (including Belu) and/or Greater Jakarta area; and support
program development and emergency preparedness and response. The
position will require travel to field locations and support
for hosting donor visits.
