The World Agroforestry Centre (also known as ICRAF) in Southeast Asia
isthe region’s leading agroforestry research-in-development organization
whichgenerates science-based knowledge about thecomplex role trees play
in agricultural landscapes and rural livelihoods. Aspart of the
Centre’s work to bring tree-based solutions to bear on poverty
andenvironmental problems, researchers – working in close collaboration
withpartners – are developing new technologies, tools and policy
recommendationsfor increased food security and ecosystem health.

conducted in 34 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We

About the position
The Officer is responsible for thefinancial management of grants from
start-up through close-out. The incumbentwill ensure proper financial
management, accountability, planning, andreporting in alignment with
ICRAF policies and procedures, the goals of thegrant and the provisions
of the grant agreement. The officer will providedetailed financial
analysis, help strengthen reporting systems and processdevelopment,
training and support.
The applicant must demonstrate strongexperience in sub-grantee
management, including building the capacity of localorganizations and
sub grantees in areas of grant compliance, financialreporting, and
accountability. Coaching, advising, and enforcement areessential
functions of this position. The applicant will provide detailedfinancial
analysis, reporting, system and process development, training
andsupport to international program funding.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
· At least 5 years of accountingand grants management experience
· At least 2 year experiencemanaging staff
· Excellent command of Excel
· Strong background in financialmanagement systems
· Experience in using AgressoFinancial system is advantage
