Save
the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to
build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and
self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia
namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik. To this end, Yayasan
has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which
focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in
strategic middle income countries.
Currently Save the Children’s programs in
Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in
eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals,
and programming in Child Protection, Education,
Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian
Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
MONITORING EVALUATION ACCOUNTABILITY AND LEARNING (MEAL) ASSISTANT –
CERIA

ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children in
Indonesia has made significant progress on Education program at the
national level and in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) province for improving
access and quality of education. Currently, Save
the Children implementing Children in Early grades Reach Incredible
Achievement (CERIA) project aims to improve access and quality for
children in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) centers and
primary schools student and Creating Early Readers for
Academic Success (CERDAS) Project aims to improved education outcomes
for young children in targeted ECEs and primary schools.
Those project will work
closely with communities, educators, and the District Government. It
will complement ongoing Save the Children education projects, build
evidence, and leverage Government of Indonesia
contributions.
CERIA is three-year
project (July 2014 to June 2017) funded by H&M Consius Foundation
Sweden and CERDAS is four years project (July 2015 to June 2019 funded
by New Zealand Government’s Aid Programme
The Monitoring
Evaluation Accountability and Learning Assistant will be responsible for
ensure proper design and implementation of the MEAL system including
disseminating results to stakeholders, and involving
children and community members.
