Save
the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to
build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local,
and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan
Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik. To this end, Yayasan has been
designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on
strengthening and localizing our voice for children in
strategic middle income countries. Currently
Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan
Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven
provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and
programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition,
Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. We are currently
seeking to fill the following position:
PROJECT OFFICER -
IDEAL
1 position, based in Bandung
Code : PO-IDEAL
ROLE PURPOSE:
Save
the Children implement a unique project to respond to learning and
development needs of children with disabilities living in rural and slum
areas.
IKEA Foundation funds the IDEAL project which is promoting inclusion
all children in Education System and provision of a protected
environment in schools and communities. The project has a child centered
approach which means bringing the child in the center
and activating duty bearers encircling the child to ensure provision of
right to education and protection of children with disabilities.
The project goal is to
increase access to quality inclusive education for children with disabilities to attain their right to education and protection. This will be achieved through establishing and strengthening an integrated and inclusive school and community model in 7
districts/cities in West Java province.
Project
Officer (PO) support Senior project Officer and responsible for
mobilizing resources and building the capacities of target communities,
schools, local government, providing technical assistance, to ensure
high quality of implementation of project activities in her/his
designated project areas (specific district/city). PO liaises and
responsible to maintain good relationship with all key stakeholders
and acts as the focal person in her/his designated districts. Working
together with Case Worker, PO will develop community based child
protection and referral system to support children with disabilities.
Supported by education and child protection specialist
roll out training and provide technical assistance to NGO partners.
Supported by MEAL officer responsible for monitoring of KPI achievement
and relevant report in timely manner. Consultation with SPO, Education
and Protection Specialist and MEAL officer, PO
responsible to overall program cycle in quality, by accepted and
involving children and community members. PO reports directly to Senior
Project Officer
