Job Title : Communications Officer
Duty Station : Jakarta
Duration of Employment : 30 working days (1 April until 31 May 2017) - WAE
Grade : SSA-9
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Country Director, in close collaboration with the Partnerships Officer and Activity Managers:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):
1. Coordinate high-level and media visits to enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP, as well as support fundraising activities.
2. Timely preparation and distribution of information products to target audience(s).
3. Coordinate logistics requirements for high-level and media visits in accordance with WFP's administrative procedures.
3. Update WFP's contact list of journalists and media outlets and support the flow of news/information about WFP's work to the media.
4. Develop social media content, and utilize platforms, networks and partners to enhance coverage and support of WFP's activities.
5. Generate donor specific visibility content including, text, photos, videos and audio for use across a range of integrated online platforms, in order to support global and country fund-raising activities, ensuring consistency with corporate messages.
6. Collate outreach data contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reports,
7. Liaise and interact with WFP staff and external counterparts to support aligned activities.
8. Other as required.
Time frame: 1 April to 31 May 2017

Qualifications and Experiences:
Education: Advanced University degree in Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
Experience: Experience in utilising specialist communications techniques.
Language: Language: Fluency (level C) in English language and Bahasa Indonesia for written and oral communications.
Desirable Skills: Additional experience in Emergency Humanitarian operations is preferable. Experience working in an international organization or multicultural environment.
